Only Time Will Tell (Future Edd x Reader)

What's Going On?

I wake up on top of Edd, who was still sleeping peacefully. He looked like he needed the rest when I saw him in the alleyway. I carefully pulled his arm off me and slipped off him. I stretched out a little, hearing my joints pop and walked to my desk.

I took off the time travel device and just stared at it. "How do you work? I need to know in order to save the world." I say to myself.

"What does what work in order to save the world?" I hear Edd say. I turned around to look at him as he was rubbing the sleepiness away from his eyes.

"The time travel wrist thingy. I don't understand it!" I turned around to face my desk and slammed my head against it. "If only I had a sonic screwdriver."

Edd chuckled "I have the blueprints in my coat. Will those help you?"

My head shot up, and I looked at Edd with happiness. "You really have the blueprints?!" I stretched out my hand "Give them to me! NOW!"

Edd reached into his pocket and took out the blueprints. He laid them out on my desk for me to look at. "Now I know why this place is still a living hell."

"Do you know how to work this? Or even used one?" I say as I was still looking over the blueprints.

Edd sighed "No."

" Exactly. Now with that said, help me because I don't understand shit on this!" Right after I said that I hear an explosion from where the door is. Or I should say was.

"They found us!" Edd yelled

"NO SHIT SHERLOCK!" I grabbed my gun and started shooting at Tord's soldiers. Edd snatched his from his coat pocket and fired along with me.

They continued to fire back at us as Edd and I took cover behind the closest piece of furniture. I hid behind my desk and while Edd hid behind the couch.

"How many soldiers did he send?!" Edd asked as he fired some more

"More importantly, how did he find us?!" I shout as I shot someone right in the head.

After a few minutes of firing, there was one left. I couldn't see their face because I ran out of bullets and I didn't want to look over and get shot.

Everything went silent as I suddenly hear what sounded like a body hit the floor. I look over to see that it was Edd. I wanted to cry, but I saw something made me very confused. Edd was still breathing. Was he playing dead? And what's that in his shoulder?

"Come on out! We know your still here and your most likely low on bullets, so there's no point in hiding!" A voice demanded. It sounded very familiar, but it also wasn't at the same time.

"Na to the ah to the NO NO NO!" I sing No by Meghan Tranior

"JUST COME OUT AND FACE ME LIKE A MAN!"

(Only read this next line if you're NOT a man or you are non-binary) "Well, I'm not a man! I'm a (gender)!" I say with a little humor.

"Now, tell me your name. After that, I'll come out." I told him

"Why should I tell you?!"

"Because what harm is gonna come to you by saying your name?"

"Well why don't you just come out and show yourself?! I'm not shooting you with a bullet! Why do you think that loser is still breathing?!"

Wait... It couldn't be

I quickly sprung up from my spot and looked at... "Eduardo?" I say in shock.

"Who the hell is Eduardo?" He said with a confused and angry look

What? I could have sworn that was Eduardo! "Um... Sorry. I thought you were someone I knew..."

"Well, obviously not loser!"

Nope, that's Eduardo. "Um... How about instead of knocking me out, you blindfold me?" I suggested, "I just want to make sure Edd's safe and that I don't get rapped while I'm knocked out."

"Nope." He then shot me with the tranquilizer dart

"Fuck you, assbutt..." I say drowsy before I fainted.

How did Eduardo not remember himself?
