Chapter 19

3 weeks later;

      Sweet Pea handed me a serpent jacket, helping me put it on.

"It looks beautiful on you." Sweet Pea said as I smiled.

"Thanks babe. Maybe I should wear one more often." I said pulling him in for a kiss.

"Stop it for one minute." I pulled away to see Brad and Carter.

"Shut up." I hit Carter as we made our way towards the office.

We stood waiting for Weatherbee, sweet pea's arm wrapped around my waist.

"What's the meaning of this?"

Weatherbee came out standing in between the two groups.

"It's a show of support, sir. For the Southsiders who are being wrongly transferred out of our school." Archie said.

"Everyone's ready to walk out, Principal Weatherbee."

"Any student who walks out better keep walking, because they'll be expelled." Principal Weatherbee said as I rolled my eyes.

"You're a good man, Principal Weatherbee. You're not the kind of person who discriminates, and if you are." Said Archie.

I smiled looking over at my twin brother, then my stomach turned.

"Then expel me. Cause I don't want to be a part of that." He said.

"Everyone, get to class." Weatherbee walked into the office.

Everyone cheered as I turned to sweet pea smiling.

"You can stay!" I cheered jumping into his arms.

      

      A half an hour later we were outside for the serpent party, FP threw for us.

I stood talking to Fangs and Sweet Pea who's arms were around my waist.

"Listen up now!" FP yelled trying to get everyone attention.

"Hey, listen up!" Jughead yelled as everyone stopped talking.

"Some 60 years ago, the very first Serpent meeting took place on these same riverbanks. And it makes sense that is where we gather now, where I." FP stopped.

"Where I say my goodbye... Jughead would you step up here." FP asked as Jughead gave an confused look.

"Dad, what are you doing?" Jug whispered.

"What I should've done a long time ago... I'm retiring from the Serpents. This time for real." FP said as everybody groaned.

"But my boy... My boy has never stopped fighting for this crew. Hell, he almost died for it.... That's why I'm giving you two the mantle..." FP said.

"And now, as your first official duty as Serpents King."

Toni came up and handed FP two red serpent jackets, my eyebrows scrunched together.

"I think you know what to do with these." FP said as Jughead hesitated.

"Take it." As Jug did.

"All right. All right. All I can say is I love you, dad." Jughead said.

"The Serpents will not die out..." Jughead said.

"Not on my watch." Jug nodded his head as he took the jackets from his dad.

"Cheryl, Bella." Fangs patted my shoulders.

I smiled as Cheryl and I got into our jackets.

Sweet Pea smiled as I went into his arms as he twirled me around.

"Like I said before beautiful." I smiled widely before pressing my lips against his.

        I smiled widely at my twin brother as he smiled back.

Sweet Pea's arm wrapped around my waist as I smiled.

Archie won student body president and now we were having a assembly, to rightly crown him but my stomach turned.

"Students, faculty and staff, before we inaugurate Archie Andrews as our new student council president, please rise for our national anthem."

Everyone stood up, we put our hand on our chest, as Josie started singing.

A couple seconds later the gym doors opened Sheriff Minetta and other deputies came in.

"Sheriff Minetta, what are you doing?" Archie asked.

Sheriff Minetta took out his hand cuffs, cuffing Archie.

"Archie Andrews, you're under arrest for the murder of Shadow Lake resident, Cassidy Bullick." He said as Archie looked confused.

"What? I didn't kill him." Archie said.

"No, Archie!" I called as he looked up at me.

"Call dad." He called as he was taking away.

I looked at sweet pea before running out of the gym.

Sweet Pea hopped in the front seat, before pulling out of the parking lot.

"He's going to be okay babe." Sweet Pea told me as I bit my lip.

"I know... Can we not talk just drive?" He nodded heading to the police station.

      Archie pulled me into his arms as he stepped out of the back.

"I was so worried." I mumbled into his chest.

"I know you were, so was I." He said as I nodded.

"Archie, Fred." we turned to attorney McCoy.

"Your trial is set for August... But we should call your mother." She said.

"Thank you so much Sierra." Dad said as she nodded.

"Anything for one of Josie's friends..." She walked away as dad pulled us into his arms.

"I love you two so much." He said as Archie patted his back.

"We love you two dad." I told him as he pulled away.

"Come on, let's go and eat yeah?"

Archie and I nodded giving each other weird looks before following him out.
