I saw your words in the sky,
they were a storm.
They weighed and struck sharp,
echoing with every mark.
I dreamt of a burning star that no longer came.
The raining pours,
a stream flowing down my wrists.
My fire will burn never again,
except in those who felt my heat.
The water floods my home,
emptying all my bottles.
It chases, thus I must climb.
I stand on the storm's chair.
I see a stray hair,
pretty and brown.
The water recedes,
I follow my heart back down.
I swam once,
I'm back on the shore.
Never again,
I'll swim for sure.
