Lucy's P.O.V
So, after eating from the cafe, me, Ayumi and Diana all set out for a place to sleep since it was nearly night. I wanted to go ahead to the library, but Ayumi insisted that we had all day tomorrow and we could just rest. I turned my head slightly towards her. She and Diana were skipping together, singing a tune I didn't recognize. Those two sure were close. But I guess most dragon slayers have exceeds, some earlier than others. Natsu and Wendy found there friends in childhood, but Gajeel and Ayumi found theirs recently. I just hope Ayumi and Natsu don't meet. I mean, Natsu alone is hard enough to control, but combined with Aymui's recklessness...... I shivered at the thought. Ayumi in front of me abruptly stopped walking.
"What is it?" I asked, looking around us in case of danger.
She slowly turned around, her brown ponytail bouncing. Her face suddenly broke out into a micheivious grin. Uh oh.
"If were are to sleep at a hotel, who will pay?" She asked, eyes twinkling with amusement. What was she planning?
"Uh.....let's just split the price up between us." I suggested.
"I have a better idea. Let's fight!"
My mouth dropped open in shock. Fight? Her? Was she nuts?!
"What? I'm not fighting you! Are you crazy?"
"I'm not crazy. I think it's an amazing idea"" she said.
"I think it's fun too!" Diana added.
"I am NOT fighting YOU here in the middle of the city at night!" I shouted, waving my arms and the dark town.
"So will you fight me in the day time outside of the city?" She asked me, titling her head to her right.
I groaned. I swear she sounded so.....childish! She totally reminded me of Natsu. I wouldn't be surprised if they were related!
"No I wouldn't! I won't fight you, got it? Let's just get some sleep!"
She pouted. She gave me the puppy eyes. How did she know that I couldn't resist it? Natsu would always use the puppy eyes on me whenever he wanted something.
I sighed. "Fine, maybe in the morning. Maybe" I said.
"Yes!" Her and Diana shouted jumping up and down in glee.
"Shhhhhh! Stop shouting you might wake up the whole city!" I scolded them.
They stopped jumping and shouting at once. Diana asked, "but who's gonna pay?"
I looked at Ayumi. She looked at me.
"You!" We shouted simultaneously, pointing at each other.
I sighed again. "Let's just split it up. It's not a bad deal!"
"I'll only split it if you promise to fight with me tomorrow." She crossed her arms and turned around.
She was seriously giving me a headache. "Fine! Now shut up and let's go!"
"Yes!" She said, more quietly this time. We found a hotel and I paid my half of the price. We went to our room and got ready to sleep. I sleep on the bed, while Ayumi and Diana sleep on the couch. She insisted that I sleep on the bed so I can have full energy for our battle tomorrow. Aw man. Why did I promise to fight her???

Ayumi's P.O.V
I climbed into bed and slept a dreamless sleep
Somewhere in to middle of my slumber, I awoke to loud rustling noises. I groaned as I sat up and checked the clock. 4:23 am. I turned to my right and tried to fall asleep again, assuming the noises where just Lucy tossing and turning in bed. But then I realized Diana wasn't with me. I looked around the room, before a took a deep breath and told myself she probably went to the bathroom. Before I could lay my head back on the pillow, I heard a loud shriek. Startled, I leaped out of bed.
"W-who's there?" I stammered. I mentally slapped myself for sounding so scared. But, truthfully, I was.
"I-it's m-me, D-Diana" and that was followed by loud sobbing.
"What's wrong? Where are you? What happened!" I asked here, whipping my face around the whole room. A blob of purple dashed from under a pile of clothes and into my arms. I let out a yelp but I kept my arms around her. From the corner of my green eyes, I could see Lucy stirring in her sleep.
"You have to h-help me! I lost my *hic* yellow bag and I can't find it! I swear it was right here when I went to bed' Please help me find it!" And with that, Diana buried her face in my arms, her shoulders shaking from sobbing.
"What yellow bag?" Lucy asked, who apparently overheard the conversation.
"She means the yellow bag she wears on her back on top of her green dress. Come on Luce, she wears it all the time!" I supplied for Diana, who was too busy still sobbing.
Lucy flushed in embarrassment. "N-no! I meant that I ...well I just.....!" She stuttered.
Diana giggled. "It's okay. We can find it in the morning. Sorry for waking you all up"
"No biggie, let's just get back to sleep" I replied, and with that, we all went back to bed. My heart was still beating hard from that shriek, but I found no trouble falling asleep.
I woke up with Lucy shaking me hard on my shoulders. "Come on! Wake up! It's noon already!" She said, grabbing my arms and dragging me out of bed. Diana was already up, looking around in our room.
"Did you find your bag?" I asked, rubbing my blurry eyes.
She looked at me with such sad eyes I almost regretted asking her.
"No" she replied sadly.
"What's so important with that's bag? I can buy you a new one" I offered her.
"No! It's not the bag that's important it's what's in it. You see......... I have a small gold hammer inside it. It has magical properties that make it 5 times stronger than it looks like. But, you see, it was a gift from my parents before they.....died. And I can't lose it, I can't!"
"Don't worry! We will help you find it! Is there something else in the bag?" Lucy asked.
Diana looked away sheepishly. "Maybe some fish" she admitted meekly.
I grinned. That's the Diana I knew. I walked over to my clothe pile to pick out something to wear. As I neared I, I froze and sniffed the air.
"What's wrong?" Lucy asked, noticing my weird actions.
"I smell another exceed!" I exclaimed. Yup, I smelt fish somewhere in this room and the unmistakable scent of exceeds. And all thanks to my Dragon Slayer sensitive nose.
Lucy looked confused. "Another exceed? Are you sure?"
I walked over a pile of clothes where the smell was strongest. Lucy peeked over my shoulder. I picked up a large T-shirt and.....under the shirt was a blue exceed, sleeping and cuddling with a fish. Sure enough, right next to him was Diana's small yellow bag.
"My bag!" Diana exclaimed.
But Lucy looked the most shocked of all. "H-Happy?"
DA DA DUN! Happy? What's he doing there? Joking I already know why! I apologize in advance for any mistakes.
