Brother and Sister

Chapter I: In the Past, 18 years ago

Clary is five, she plays with her brother Jonathan, who is older than her by 3 years. They play together in the garden, Jonathan chases her and Clary squealed happily. His eyes turn black, his body turned into something horrid; Skin burns, each layer shown red and fiery. He continues to chase her. Clary screams for he brother. After chasing Clary turns around to see something she never seen before and that made her curious so she asked:

Clary: Who are you? Where's my brother!

She started to cry and Jonathan turned back into his normal state then comforted her. When she looked up, she saw Jonathan and then asked him where the mystery creature went.

He smiled and kissed her on the cheek as a thank you kiss. She looked so beautiful like a flower blooming.

A few days later of spending everyday with Jonathan, she heard her mother calling her from the house. She kissed him on the cheek then ran to the house. Once she entered in the middle of the living room, she called out her mother's name.

She heard her mother calling out from the basement so down she went. She stood in the middle of the ground near a pole, but she didn't know that where she stood was a circle; a magic circle.

Clary: Mom...?

She called out and suddenly her hands got tied up to the pole; ropes her hands together tight.

Jocelyn who had been hiding in the shadows until now thought to herself:

I'm sorry baby girl but the future is unpredictable and you have to be safe for and from your brother. You're brother will be dangerous and...your brother is a demon.

Magnus Bane, high wizard of the Downworlders, who Jocelyn had requested the help of stood and watched.

MB: Are you sure you want to do this Jocelyn? It's a heavy price for your daughter.

Jo: Yes I'm sure and I'm worried about Jonathan. As a baby, when I held him in my arms in the garden, he wilted a rose. I then realised that Jonathan was indeed a demon sent from hell. His eyes were black, pitch black; darkness of a demon.

MB: I am also afraid of sealing Clary's most precious memories of Jonathan and how much Jonathan loves her.

Jo: Jonathan? Loves her? Nah, that can't be true!

MB: Really Jocelyn? How can you be blind by his love for her! He loves her! I can feel the love he has in his eyes, full of love and protectiveness! Think about it Jocelyn, when has Valentine ever spent time with you?

Jocelyn's face showed shock and anger but nonetheless she concluded herself that it is true.

Jocelyn looks at her daughter Clary with sorrow.

Jo: I'm so sorry Clary but this is for your own good.

Clary: Mom? What's happening?

Jo: Nothing to worry about sweetie.

MB: You're absolutely sure about this and I'm sure Jonathan wouldn't be too happy about this.

Jo: I know but he's not here so let's do it.

MB: Alright Clary, this will hurt...

Clary screams like there's no tomorrow then blackout until now.
