Silence

Curly hair and blue eyes

No hello. No name. No presentation. 

'This night is beautiful?! Really? That's what you say to a stranger, to a person you just met?' thought Abbie.

She found this strange and crazy and she would have told him that, but she didn't. Instead, she replied 'Yes, it's a beautiful night.'

Only then he turned his head and looked at her. She was beautiful, he could see that. Her dark hair was falling on her shoulders. He saw she had beautiful traits, but there was more than that.

Abbie turned her head too. It seemed that her expectations didn't look like reality. In front of her was standing a cute boy with curly chestnut hair and blue eyes. His smile could have light a world. But, most of all, she saw a warm soul next to her.

'Hi! I'm Jason. Jason Miller.'

'Abbie Stewart. Nice to meet you!'

'Nice to meet you too, Abbie Stewart! So... I really love nights and stars and walks. Oh, and I'm kinda lonely. That's what got me here on the bench with you.'

He smiled and his entire face lit up. Just like a sunshine on a cloudy sky, a smile appeared on her sad face involuntarily. She couldn't understand how could this guy make her smile in just few minutes, in this darkness of her life.

'I don't know why I'm here. I'm just...here. You know, when you're lonely, you have to change something. So I changed my place. My home doesn't seem to be a home anymore and I just...'

Abbie realised that she was just telling something personal to a stranger. A really nice stranger, but still a stranger.

'What? Why did you stop?'

'Because I would have told stupid things and I'm sure nobody would like to hear that. '

'I do. I like to hear you talking. I'm a good listener, you know? I don't really like talking. Listening is better. Imagine this world where everyone is listening, not talking. There would be peace and serenity. And silence.'

'Silence. He probably hides something inside of this beautiful cover' thought Abbie. 'And I'm ready to find out what.'
