Blue Pride

I hear a thunderstorm from afar.

I start to recite my memoir.

Remember those breezy nights out at sea.

For so long, it was all that we could see.

Ocean and electricity,

With your touch, passing through me.

It was all I knew for those long evenings.

You brought me to islands of sapphire springs.

Aquamarine berries were all we could taste.

When our lips touched, it was all that we graced.

Surrounded by nothing but water and sky,

We vowed our vows would never untie.

Then the time came when the ocean dried,

Suddenly our love, was my only pride.
