Skies in the evening, oceans at night,
Hold a dark hue, hold onto the last of love.
Skies in the evening, oceans at night,
Hold a dark hue, hold onto my first love.
He treated me like royalty,
I was his princess for eternity.
He was my prince charming,
I would never let go of his amethyst ring.
The lilacs and lavenders he handed me,
I would be handing to our baby.
From the velvet which adorned our baby's blanket,
To the violet which was sealed on her bracelet,
All gifts of love from her father,
To protect her mother and their daughter.
