Cynthia sipped her cup of coffee and watched Paul. "It's nice to have you home for the day."
"It's good to be home." Paul bit into his jam covered toast.
"I want to stay home with you. But, I'm already skating on thin ice with headmistress Swift." She finished her cup of coffee.
"I'll enroll in the girls inny to see you." He grinned.
Cynthia laughed. "Don't you dare, love." She stood up from the table and placed her empty coffee mug into the sink. "I don't need another lecture about our relationship being a disruption." Cynthia walked over to Paul, ran her hands through his hair and leaned down to kiss him soundly on the mouth.
There was a loud banging on their flat door.
Paul stood up. "Fans?"
"Do you think they figured out where we lived before the move to London?"
Paul gently rubbed Cynthia's arms. "I'd rather it be fans at our door than vagrants trying to let themselves in."
Cynthia walked with Paul to the door.
Paul shouted through the door. "Who is it?"
"You've got me shaking in my boots, you do, Macca." John cackled.
Paul unlocked and opened the door.
"Good Morning, Mr. and Mrs. McCartney." John stepped inside.
"Good morning, John." Cynthia greeted him, trying to be polite.
"We were just finishing breakfast." Paul closed and locked the door.
Cynthia walked into the bedroom, gathering her leather satchel for school.
Paul called out. "Cynthia, where are the cornflakes?"
Cynthia walked down the hallway and into the kitchen. "We're out. I'll pick up a box after work." She pressed a kiss to his mouth. "Goodbye, John."
John stood up from the kitchen table. "I'll walk with you."
Cynthia shook her head and placed her satchel onto her shoulder. "I'm fine on my own."
Paul chimed in. "She won't have it, man. I've tried." He leaned against the kitchen counter.
Cynthia smiled. "Are you forgetting what happened the last time you dropped me off?"
Paul laughed. "It wasn't that bad."
Cynthia continued. "It was a meeting of the Paul McCartney Fan Club in front of the girls inny."
Paul grinned. "Oh, you exaggerate, love."
"You almost got me fired."
"Did I?" He comically widened his eyes. "The last time you told this story you said the headmistress had given you a stern talking to and now you were almost fired?"
John rolled his eyes. "You're so bloody sweet together. I'm in danger of getting a toothache."
"I really should get going, love."
Paul walked over to Cynthia and kissed her. "Enjoy your day, love."
John slapped his hands together. "Since there's no breakfast for me to eat I'll walk out with you."
Paul walked Cynthia and John out.
"Enjoy your day, love." Paul pecked her mouth.
"You too." Cynthia returned his kiss.
(----)
Cynthia's steps were quick.
"Where's the fire?"
