What she really means when she asks the question..."Why do you like me?"
Too many times the woman is told she is liked yet with that word there is no reason.
Even as times go by season by season.
Why she asks?...why do you like me?
Constantly given either an "I don't know" or silence...nothing from the lips she sees.
Even as she gazes deep into his eyes looking for something
all she seems to truly find is nothing.
A bottomless pit
Hidden behind so much wit
On the outside in the beginning it seems an ounce of emotion might just be present,
but as time goes by she realizes how much it wasn't.
Hoping she is wrong.
That he really does belong.
The question pops up again,
yet same answer..silence once again.
As she seems the same pattern from man to man
That uncertainty..the unknown...one who just doesn't give a damn.
Just being used is what she really is..a game..a toy
Thrown around by a man who is really nothing but a boy.
For she knows now that a real man can answer the question, "Why do you like me?"
Silence should not be what she sees.
A woman wants honesty..a man who knows what the hell he wants.
Not a game..not a boy...who loves a woman for more than just her outer beauty and his physical wants.
He sees the woman for who she truly is.
Loves everything about her...even her faults that we all possess..seeing her as his.
Not ashamed to have her around, have her by his side.
Never once to hide.
To love, to hold
To cherish, to mold
Memories to create
Everything about her he really does appreciate.
He shows her everyday that he cares and can express it as well if necessary.
Dependable, loyal, and shows her respect that is necessary.
For the question "Why do you like me?" has far more meaning than a guy knows.
For when a man can sincerely and truthfully reply, he will notice the way she sees him, feels, and sees everything grows.
So think twice next time when you hear her ask the question "Why do you like me?"
