PERCY SAT DOWN NEXT TO ANNABETH. He recently got home from work, whereas she had taken the day off after lunch. He found her on her laptop with her legs across the couch.
"Whatcha doin'?" Percy asked.
"Looking up names. Why?" Annabeth responded.
"Do we really need a website to help us name our baby?" Percy sighed.
"Well I don't like the ones that you've come up with so far." Annabeth complained.
Percy looked blown away. "Okay as a matter-of-fact, Tetra and Ray are perfectly good names."
"Tetra is a kind of fish and we are not naming our child after a sting ray. I think you're taking the whole Poseidon's kid thing a little too far. For all we know, she could be an Athena child."
"Fine. But I get to pick her middle name."
"Fair enough."
Annabeth flipped through the sight some more and found a name she shouted at.
'PERCY OHMYGODS I FOUND IT I FOUND IT." Percy lifted his head from a baby name magazine.
"What is it?!" He shouted back.
"Marilyn! As in Monroe! Or Audrey as in Hepburn! Or-" Annabeth was cut off.
"Annabeth wait a second. Marilyn Jackson. Audrey Jackson. Do those sound that great? It has to be a name of glory that brings people to their knees."
"Oh and Ray will speak glory and take people down?"
"Not Ray specifically."
"Keep looking."
The pair searched for a while and found:
"Amelie! It's French!"
"Eh."
A few more minutes passed:
"Zuri?"
"Keep trying Percy."
Some more time passed:
"Quinn?"
"It's good, but not there. Percy... I found one."
"Let's hear it."
"Bianca Lisette Jackson."
A moment of silence. They both remember the day Bianca Di Angelo died all too well.
"I like Bianca. I'm not too keen on Lisette."
"Okay we'll keep looking."
A few moments later, Percy stumbled upon a name.
"Bianca Adele or Adalynn." Percy sighed. It sounded good.
"Bianca Adalynn Jackson... Bianca Adele Jackson." Annabeth sighed. "Now I'm not all for Bianca anymore. Damn!"
They looked a little more.
"Well lets look at our friends names. Thalia, Hazel, Reyna, Piper..." Percy suggested.
It was almost like a lightbulb appeared over Annabeth's head. "I can't believe I didn't think of this before!! Greek names! Cassandra, Penelope, Andromeda, Hermione, there's a whole world!"
"Maybe, I'm not sure. We could compromise. One Greek name, one modern?" Percy tilted his head.
"Sure. I'd be down for that." Annabeth looked down at her stomach. "You are a tough little one aren't you?"
Percy laughed. "You know, I found some more Greek names."
"Which names?"
"Anastasia, Cassia, Diana, Aurora, Ariadne, Calia, and I really like Mia."
"I love Calia but I don't know where we're going so lets make a list of Greek names and modern names and hope two click." Annabeth reasoned. Percy was god with it.
In the end, the list looked a lot like this:
GREEK:
Hermione
Aurora
Calia
Mia
Iris
MODERN:
Adalynn
Thalia
Bianca
Ivanna
Alison
The Jacksons had their work cut out for them.
