^Jayla^
FYI: I changed some things about this chapter and I am going to continue to make changes on the other chapters. I know I'm changing the look of the character Justin. (If you don't know him you'll meet him next chapter). Nothing major, just little adjustments. Some of the story line will differ and I will be adding some things. To avoid confusion I suggest you re read from the beginning though. If you are confused about anything feel free to comment I will address anything from there.
For new readers, don't mind this announcement hope you enjoy the story.
Jayla POV.
I get up from my after noon nap and feel disgusting so I get the idea to take a shower. I get out of bed yawning and walk to the bathroom. I undress myself, pull my curls in to a bun and turn on the water to take a shower.
Once I finish I get out and rap my towel around me walking back to my room when I hear my dad arguing on the phone again. My moms been bugging him about moving me back with her all summer. They finally made a decision to move me back to my mom at the end of summer. Which is tomorrow.
She wants to make amends with me or whatever that means. It's apart of her AA rehab. I know he's not sure if he actually should let me go and I'm not so sure ether, but none of that matters I'm going end of discussion.
Once I'm in my room I walk to my closest and throw on cloths to wear around the house when I hear a knock on my door.
"Come in." I say knowing it's my pops.
He immediately walks in and sits on my bed. He looks sad.
"Pops, you okay?" I say in questioning.
He looks up at me "I'm okay babygirl. I'm just scared to send you back to your mom."
I sit next to him on the bed. "Imma be okay pops. I'm sixteen now and you've taught me how to take care of myself."
He smiles a little. "I know babygirl. You sure you want this though?"
I look at him confused. "I guess so. It's time I go back to mom. I know she's feeling neglected and I don't want her thinking she's a bad person or anything."
"I'm sure she doesn't think that. But than again it is your mother."
We both chuckle.
Then he hugs me. "I trust that you will care of yourself. You've always been strong and independent. Never needed anything to be-"
"Handed to me." I say smiling.
He looks at me with a smile from cheek to cheek. "That's my girl."
I look at him. My eyes fell with salty water. "I love you pops."
He wipes my tears and kisses my forehead. "I love you too babygirl." He looks at me again. "Even though your not a baby anymore".
We both chuckle.
I sniffle. "I'm definitely going to call you every night."
He smiles. " I know babygirl."
I look at him. "What time am I leaving tomorrow?"
"At twelve."
My stomach starts to growl.
He chuckles when he hears my stomach growling. "You hungry?"
I laughed in embarrassment. "Yeah. I haven't ate all day."
He chuckles. "Let's go to Ninety Nine."
