Jayla POV."I can't believe he sucker punched you." I say holding Treys face to the side to get a better look at the scratch on his face.
He moves his head after a second not letting me really look. "I'll be fine.. How you feeling?"
I don't really know how I feel right now.
I shrug my shoulders when he puts his arms around me comforting me. As soon as I feel some type of good in his hold it's shattered quickly with the presents of Trey's girlfriend.
"Are you for real right now?" Ashely says walking up to me and Trey. I can feel Trey's body getting tense. I rub his back to calm him down.
"You know, I keep telling myself 'It's okay.. don't stress. He loves you." She says with her eyes closed like she's also trying to calm herself.
He just stands there with a blank face saying nothing.
"Wow. So you have nothing to say?" Her voice cracks and I spot a tear fall from her eye.
He's really hurting her.
I pinch Trey in his back to tell him to talk to her. He looks at me with a 'but I don't want to' look. I give a 'I ain't ask' look as he pulls his arms away from me and walks over to her. They walk away from me.
I'm left alone when I notice this kid staring at me from the bar. "What?"
He chuckles. "A pretty girl like you shouldn't be left alone."
I give him a petty smile mocking him. " I can hold my own. I ain't no little ass girl."
He throws his hands up. "Damn girl. I ain't say you couldn't."
We both chuckle. My legs get tired from standing and I sit next to him at the bar.
"Zayn." He says as he puts his hand out to shake.
I take his hand. "Jayla."
He looks around and then to me again. "So what was that all about?"
I shake my head. "It's a long story."
I then look around to see Trey and Ashely still talking.
"We got nothing but time." He says as he takes the words right out my mouth. I then begin to tell him from the beginning. Explaining how I lived her first and was really close with Trey as our moms are best friends and we grew up together. But then had to move to my dads in Cali at the end of eighth grade because of my moms drug problems and she couldn't take care of me anymore.
Zayn seems oddly into the story so I continue. I tell him how I met Justin in the tenth grade and fell in love with him. I then tell him how my mom wanted me back at the end of tenth grade. So I moved back here and saw Trey for the first time in years. Then Justin moved her and met Trey. I told him how they fought the first day they met.
We both chuckle.
"Let's just say Justin wasn't ready for what he got himself into." I say and we laugh harder.
Our laugh dies out and I hear screaming from not to far away. I knew exactly who it was.
"AND YOU KISSED THE BITCH?" Ashely screams.
