25 Days of Christmas Event

"Hot Chocolate" Toneri Otsutsuki x Reader

A/N: I have not seen very many ToneriOtsutsuki fanfics, so I decided to go ahead and make one for him.This prompt #11 "Hot Chocolate",formy 25 Days of Christmas Event. This little cinnamon bun needs morelove.

  

"Somethingin here smells delicious." Toneri said as he made his way into thekitchen. Stopping so that he was right behind you, he wrapped hisarms around your waist,and rested his head upon your left shoulder.

"Whatis that you are making, darling" He questioned as he nuzzled hisface against yours. You lifted up your hand to pat his cheek, as youcontinued to stir the mixture in the pot.

"I'mmaking hot chocolatedear."you answered him.

"Hmmis this the same hot chocolate you were telling me about from earth?"He asked.

"Yesit is." you cheerfully replied as you added a few more ingredientsto the hot chocolate. "This is one of the Y/n clan's secretrecipes. I remember every December we would sit around our livingroom and drink hot chocolate together as a family. Since on earthit's about that time of year I thought I would whip us up some. Sowould you like try some?" you asked.

"Isee what a splendid family tradition, and if you don't mind then yesI would love to have some." He said lowly as he released his holdon you. Noticing his change in demeanor you turned off the fire onthe stove and turned to look at him.

"What'sthe matter Toneri?" you questioned in concern.

"Ohit's nothing really. I'm just thinking is all." he dismissivelysaid as he looked at you. Not wanting to hound him about his apparentmood switch, you decided to let it go, knowing that when he was readyhe would tell you what was on his mind.

"Alrightthen." smiling at him you turned back around to finish your hotchocolates. "I'm just going to finish up the hot chocolate, so whydon't you go ahead and head toward the living room,and I'll bringboth of our drinks.

"Alrightthen." he said as he gave you a quick kiss to the cheek and headedout the door. A few minutes after that you were adding the last ofmarshmallows to the drinks to finish them off. Grabbing a tray youset both drinks down and headed off toward the main room. You enteredthe room to find Toneri occupying one of the love seats. Handing himhis drink,you took up the love seat in front of him.

"Sohow is it?" you asked as you watched him take a sip.

"Ittastes really good!" he said with a smile and took another sip.

"I'mglad!" you said smiling as you took a sip from your cup. Hummingwith a sigh of relief, at the warmth the hot chocolate provided, youlean back so that your head was resting on the back of the couch, andclosed your eyes.

"Y/n?"he called.

"Hmm?"youhummed back.

"Doyou regret staying here with me?" he questioned solemnly. Openingyour eyes in surprise you asked, "What?"

"Doyou regret staying here with me?" he asked again as his closed eyesmade direct eye contact with yours.

"Ofcourse not you!" you exclaimed, "Why would you think somethinglike that?"

"Youleft your family and friends behind, people you've know since birthto be here with someone who cannot see. Someone who has been alonemost of his life, is undeserving of your love. I..I'm just holdingyou back." he called out in pain as, eyes that once could see theworld, shed tears that have been held back for years. Heart breakingin two,you got out of your seat and made your way to him. Grabbinghis hand in yours, you used the other to wipe away his tears.

"Toneri...love,I'm here because I chose to be." Turning his face towards yours,you put your foreheads together and said, "I love you so much. Youare deserving of my love. So don't ever think that again. Everyonedeserves to have someone. Naruto was alone for most of his life and Iknow this for a fact, because I was with him when he was little, andnow look at him. He has a wonderful family now. I knew from themoment we meet during the time you were after Hinata that we werefated to be. So here I am now with the one person in this world thatI deserve to be with. So stop, don't say such things about yourself.I love you for you and I always will."

"Whatabout sharing hot chocolate with your family? Isn't that a familytradition of yours? You should be sharing it with them and Naruto aswell, right now."

"Yes,it is a family tradition,and I am sharing it with my family. Narutohas Hinata and boruto,I have you. You Toneri, are my husband,so it'sonly natural that I share our families hot chocolate with you,together, in this room,right at this exact moment."

"Ourfamily?" he questioned

"Uhhuh! You're apart of my family now so hot chocolate drinking is nowour family tradition. And when we to add a little Boruto "orseveral", to our family, thenwe too will share this tradition to with them." you said.

"Youreally mean that?" he asked.

"Ireally do." you answered. With your words a sincere smile formed onhis face.

"Ilove you so much Y/n,and I promise that we will always celebrate thistradition, even when our children are grown, and that I will alwayslove our family." he lovingly declared as he grabbed your face inbetween his warm hands.

"Ipromise to."you said with so much love,as you both sealed yourpromises with a hot chocolate flavored kiss.

A/N#2: I hope you enjoyed it. Seriously though I'm not sure how well Iwritten Toneri, but I hope I did a decent job. I also don't thegifs/pictures I use for my stores,so credit those who did make them.
