A/N: I wrote this in 2019. Forgive me for the music taste.

The ride home with Reece was silent.

"Is your hand okay?" I asked.

He nodded. "Probably not as bad as his face."

I smiled a bit. He's right, definitely not. When I was walking out of the school, I saw Jason holding an ice pack on his cheek.

Pussy.

"Thanks, though," I said.

He glanced at me, then returned his eyes on the road. "For what?"

"You punched him," I said. Duh.

"He was being fucking annoying," he grumbled.

"True. I still appreciated it."

He glanced at my face again.

"At least you weren't included in the lunch detentions."

"Ohh, about that..."

He furrowed his eyebrows with a look of confusion.

"I made him include me."

He rolled his eyes. "Of course you did."

When he pulled into his driveway, I got out of the car and thanked him for the ride, walking into my house.

Thoughts were all over my brain, most of them about one person.

I couldn't wait for the girls night tonight. Exactly what I needed.

I pulled up to Stacey/Jordan's house, Mel being the first one to actually say the thing we were both thinking.

"It's huge."

That's what she said.

I nodded. "I didn't know people with houses like these even went to my school," I breathed.

It almost reminded me of the Kardashians house.

There was a brick driveway outlining the fountain in the middle, large white pillars on each sides of the double doors.

The doors bust open, and out came Hess, Dylan, and Stacey, grins on their face.

"Ivy!" Stacey waved to me.

I got out of the car, waving to them as I said goodbye to Mel.

"Tell your mom to come in for a minute!" she said.

Should I?

I turned to Mel, who was getting ready to drive away, and said, "You wanna come in for a sec?"

She looked so, so glad that I asked, smiling at me and nodding. It made me happy, seeing her like that.

She stepped out of the car and around it, walking gingerly up the steps and towards the door.

"Guys, this is Mel," I said, gesturing to her beside me.

They all smiled and said hello. "Mel, that's Hess, Stacey, and Dylan."

"I'm so glad to meet you guys," she said, her smile so wide, I wanted to remember it forever.

None of them looked too surprised, or they hid it well. They treated Mel normally, which made me relieved.

"Well, come on in, we'll give you the grand tour," Stacey grinned, holding out her hand, gesturing for us to come in.

"Here, we'll show Ivy to your room," Dylan said, grabbing my pillow out of my hands and beginning to run up the large staircase.
