After purchasing Reece's Christmas present at the store with Mel, I am on a mission to find one for everyone else.

Most of them were easy.

I got Hunter and Eli lotion. I know. I'm hilarious. I got Jordan a cologne, and Hess a perfume.

I got Stacey and Dylan each matching sweaters. Kind of stupid, right? But I think they'll like them.

I get home and check my phone for the first time today, scrolling through my notifications.

reece>> come over tonight to decorate?

I look at my phone and smile.

me>> sure. be over by 7?

reece>> sure

Still smiling, I look at the time (6:30) and put down my phone. I sit on my bed and stare at the many shopping bags I have, then to the wrapping paper.

Let's wrap these bitches.

7:00 approaches and I look in the mirror one last time before walking out of my room in a sweater and my hair a bit poofy; I didn't do anything to it today. I walk downstairs and into the kitchen, where Mel is looking at her laptop intently. Her eyebrows are furrowed and her lips are pursed so hard, my eyes widen.

"Everything okay?" I ask, coming across from her.

She looks up at me and her expression shifts. She shuts the laptop and looks up at me, not saying anything. She eventually smiles and says, "Just work stuff."

"Huh. Okay," I say, my eyebrows still furrowing in concern. She's not hiding anything from me, right? "Well, I'm going to Reece's."

Her eyebrows raise and she smirks. "Are you now?"

I roll my eyes and tilt my head back in exasperation. "Yes, I am. We're decorating."

She winks at me and says, "'Decorating,' is that what kids call it nowadays?"

My jaw drops. "Call what?"

She laughs and raises her hands in surrender. "Oh, nothing. Have fun."

I stand still, smiling at her. "Yeah, I will. See you later."

"Oh, wait! Grab a key. I won't be home until late."

I nod and grab whatever key was near me on the counter, then stuff them in my pocket and walk to the door.

I walk out of my house and into Reece's yard, getting to the front door and knocking.

Reece opens the door, smiling at me. Did I ever mention his smile is just as perfect as the rest of his face? His teeth are amazing. "Hey."

"Hey," I say back, smiling. I walk inside and he shuts the door behind me. "Is Alfred home?"

"Nah, he won't be home 'til late."

Oh.

"'Kay," I respond, turning around and looking at him. "Where's the Christmas stuff?"

He smirks. "Downstairs." He pauses, then starts walking past me, never breaking the eye contact. "I'll get it." He winks.

I gulp.

He disappears into the basement stairs and I release a breath.

I stare at the ground and let my brain wander around my thoughts about him.

We had been hanging lights around for about half an hour, and now I walk around the hallway outside of his room and look at the photos on the walls.
