"C'mon," I nudge him slightly, trying to brush off what he had just said.

"No, I mean, I love her, that's for sure. Just it would've been totally different if she was honest." Taehyung sighed, running his fingers through his lustrous hair, each strand falling perfectly in place.

"Well, you know everything happens for a reason." I said and he nodded, a little reluctantly. "I guess." He shrugged, taking in a deep breath.

I could tell he was really affected by her lying and remembered what Aera had told me. "She told me 'you're all about trust'." I brought it up and he chuckled lightly, pushing the shopping cart down the aisles.

"Did she tell you why?" He asked, giving me the side eye.

I shook my head, "I don't even think she knows." I said and I catch him roll his eyes.

"Hm, I guess that's a story for another day then." Taehyung said and we turned into another aisle.

My hand brushes against a bottle, starting a domino effect, causing almost every water bottle on the shelf to fall to the ground.

The both of us flinched at the loud thuds it produced against the floor and once everything settled down, Taehyung cocked his head towards me. "Is this your first time in a grocery store?" He laughed and I simply rush to the mess I had made. "Gosh, you're worse than Mr. Mom." He held his tummy, recovering from the loud laugh that had escaped his lips.

"What?" My brows furrowed, not comprehending what he had said. I picked up the bottles from the ground and he knelt down beside me, helping me.

"Mr Mom, have you not watched it?" He asked, a little shocked.

I shook my head, eyes still focused on the bottles that laid on the ground.

"Well, we shall watch it one day." He said with a nod, picking up the last bottle and placing it on the shelf.

"Oh," I was a little stunned. "Really? We should?" I narrowed my eyes at him, my brows knitting in the process.

"Mmhmm," He hummed, beaming like a little kid. "Since Aera doesn't like old movies and I assume Jae doesn't?" He trailed off a little, waiting for me to confirm his statement.

"He hates them." I said and nodded.

"Then it's settled. Old movies shall be our thing." Taehyung smiled at me, the most purest look of excitement painting over his face. "Well, that's if Jae doesn't mind." He said and I instantly nod.

"I'm sure he'll be happy to hear that someone has finally lifted that burden off of him." I let out sarcastically and he laughs.

"I want to see who this Jae guy is." He said as he continued strolling the grocery store.

"Oh, Aera and I are actually planning a double date soon so you might actually get to see him." I said and he turned to look at me.

"Double date?" He repeated those words, wanting to make sure he heard me right.

"Yea, is there a problem?"

"Nope," He shook his head, the avalanche of brown hair swaying gently with the motion. "I haven't spoken to her yet and she's already planning a double date." He joked and I laughed along.

"She's one hell of a catch." I said with amusement, but meant every word and he nodded.

"Aish, she really is." His lips curled into a subtle smile as he looked down. We entered the pastry section to get bread, the last thing on the list and turned back to go to the cashier.

On our way towards the cashier my eyes landed on a chocolate pie and I squealed unintentionally. Taehyung's head instantly darts towards me, his eyes stained with worry.

"You okay?" He asked as I stared at the chocolate pie.

"Ah, yes." I shake my head. "It's just, I've been looking for this but it's always sold out." I said and he raised out his hand, motioning it towards him. "Then get it." He said and I shook my head.

"I only brought enough for whatever's on the list." I sighed, staring at the pie longingly.

"Then I'll get it for you." He reached out his hand to grab the pie but I smack it, "You've helped me enough today." I said and a chuckle escapes his lips. "Fine." He said as we approached the cashier.

I paid for my groceries before him and waited for him to pay for his. He pushed the shopping cart out till the car park and helped me load the paper bags in the back of my car.

"Thank you." I said and he simply nodded, turning on his heel to make his way to his car but before he could walk off I peeped. "And, go easy on Aera?" I said and his expression softens.

"She really loves you." I said and he nodded, "I know." He smiled before bidding me goodbye.

"I'm home!" I chimed, struggling with the bags as I entered. I refused to make a second trip to my car so I balanced everything on my two arms.

In a second, the weight gets lifted off and I'm greeted by my father who was standing in front of me. "Thank you so much, dear." He quickly pecks my forehead before disappearing into the kitchen.

Not even a second later, Aera came running out, "Areum! Are you free tomorrow?" She asked, hopping on her own two feet.

"I think so, why?" I asked, throwing myself onto the couch.

"Double date. Tomorrow!" She squeaked and I turned around, finally looking at her. I noticed a phone pressed to her ear and realised it must've been Taehyung.

"What, really?" She asked Taehyung and then looked back up at me, "and Taehyung says he has a surprise for you."
