Before I start off with the story I want to wish Primsgirl89 a happy birthday! Now onto the story!

Natsu's POV

During my fight with Gray I noticed Lucy walk off downstairs, most likely heading into the library. Brushing it off I continued my fight with Gray, of course using magic,  when suddenly I wasn't able to use my magic.

"Why isn't my magic working?" Wendy said as she tried to heal Romeos bruise on his leg from the brawl.  Growing worried everyone tried using their magic but to no avail. No ones magic was working.

Suddenly explosions were heard as the guild hall started cracking. We all ran out trying to fight whoever was starting this, but we couldn't find anyone. However, the attacks were still going on.

'LUCY!' I screamed in my mind, 'HOW COULD FORGET HER?!' I was about to run inside the guild when the entire building collapsed.

"NO, LUCY'S IN THERE!" I screamed as I tried to push off the rubble to find her. Of course this didn't last long since Gramps held me in his giant hand.

"Calm down boy, the rubble isn't stable, one wrong move and you could harm her worse than she already is, or even kill her. First call her then see if she has any major injuries."

"LUCY?!" I called, and kept saying her name and chanting things like 'can you hear me?' Until I got a reply with was minutes later.

"Natsu, is that you?" Her voice soft and shaky, which I was only able to hear since I had dragon hearing.

"Yes! Lucy it's me! Do you have any injuries? Can you see anything?" I yelled. After a couple of seconds came her soft reply.

"There is a cement beam with an iron bar on top of my leg, the iron bar is stuck in my thigh. I can't fell my hand or arm below my elbow, a wooden beam landed on it. Everything is dark." Her voice was so soft and filled with pain. The nightmare I had was coming true.

"Okay, we're going to get you out of there Lucy, just keep talking to me okay, don't fall asleep no matter how tired you are. I promise I'll get you out." I called out. Lucy replies with an 'okay'.

I turned to everyone and told them of what Lucy told me.

"Jet, run to Porlyusica." Erza sternly said to Jet who nodded and ran off.

"First we take off the first layer of rubble, we have to be slow and careful. We don't know how stable this is right now and we don't want to cause Lucy more harm." Erza said to the guild who started to take off the rubble piece by piece while I kept talking to Lucy to make sure she was okay, well, not dead.

We ended up getting our magic again right after we started picking up rubble so I ended up burning all of it into ash so it would be easier. After a while we had gotten a lot of the rubble cleared but a new problem arose whenever Max and Nab lifted up an unstable piece of rubble that caused a landslide shifting us all but no one was hurt.

"Lucy?! Are you okay?! What's going on?!" I yelled.

"I'm fine! But there's water leaking, it's getting to close to my face and I can't move, it's rising up way to fast!" The end of her sentence wasn't as calm but the complete opposite, she was panicking. After the new information I received I told the guild while glaring at Max and Nab.

"Juvia can stop the water from drowning love-rival." Juvia said and we all agreed, telling her to stop the water.

"Lucy, how is it down there?" I asked. I heard a sigh of relief before I heard her say, "It's better, the water stopped, thank Juvia for me?" I smiled and replied, "Maybe you should thank her yourself when we get you out of there."

After an hour or so of clearing more rubble I noticed that Lucy's reply's were taking longer and her voice wasn't as strong. I knew this meant she was either passing out or dying. And there would be hell to pay if it was the latter.

An hour later Jet arrived with Porlyusica who looked worried seeing the state of the guildhall and how Lucy might have been.

We still tried to remove all the rubble but the only ones left were the heaviest pieces. Lifting one large wooden beam I noticed a bloody arm.
"GUYS, I FOUND HER!" I yelled quickly gaining everyone's attention as they all tried to help me clear the debris.

"Natsu And Gray, lift up the cement beam on Lucy's leg, Wendy, make sure to heal up her leg as quickly as possible. Master and I will handle the wooden beam." Erza said, her voice laced with authority.

We lifted the beams and as soon as we did we truly saw Lucy's state. Her forearm, the one with her guild mark, had been completely chopped off while Wendy was still trying to heal Lucy's bruised and bleeding leg. Blood was everywhere, the crimson liquid staining her hair, body, clothes, beams, and floor. She was also covered in dust from the wood and cement, coloring her a light grey and tan.

I immediately hugged her passed out self, thankful that she was alive while Wendy had started to heal what was left of her arm.

"Everything's gonna be okay Lucy. I promise." I whispered as she lightly smiled, opening her eyes slightly, getting used to the light.

'She didn't die today, that's all that matters, my nightmare wasn't completely true.'
