I roll out of bed getting ready for the day.

I walk out with a pair of boy friend jeans and a royal blue shirt.

"Morning" I say as I walk down the steps.

"Good morning" my mom say coming up to kiss my cheek.

She looks down and smiles at my necklace.

I look down to look at at the rose colored pendant around my neck.

"You still have that thing on?" She asks looking back up into my eyes.

"Yup, and I'm never taking it off." I ran the pad of my thumb across the small pendant.

My grandmother died when I was around 15. She was my everything, I spent the most of my time with her. One day she was diagnosed with brain cancer and I was devastated. Right before she died, she told me to take this pendant and promise to never lose it.

I kept that promise ever since.

My mom laughed and went back making her coffee. I grabbed my keys and waved my parents goodbye.

Walking into the back of the salon I grabbed my apron and tied it.

I walk back into the back room after about 6 hours of non stop working.

"Are you ready for dinner tonight?" Alana giggles wrapping a arm around my shoulder.

"Mmm." I drag on.

I don't feel like being around so many people.

"Come on get in a good mood." She shakes me with the arm that's wrapped around me.

"This is my good mood." I walk to my booth sitting in the styling chair. I snatch a James Patterson book off my table and start reading.

After about thirty minutes to a hour I hear a voice.

"Excuse me." I bend my head all the way back to see a man with electric blue eyes upside down. I lift my head back up and twist my chair to face him.

Hm, his eyes seem familiar.

"Hello, What can I do for you." I ask him.

"I'm looking for a haircut, my appointment is in," he looks down at his watch. "Five minutes."

I scrunch my eyebrows.

When did I have a 6pm appointment?

"One moment please."

I check my schedule in my phone and my eyebrows shoot up.

I guess I do.

"Oh I'm sorry my name is Lux Altera." I stand up and bring my hand out for him to shake.

"It's quite alright, besides I'm a smidge early, I'm Ron." He grabs my hand and my hand starts to tingle from my finger tips all the way up to my shoulder. I slightly gasp and my eyebrows scrunched together.

That was weird.

We let go of each other's hand and I went to go grab the men's haircut catalog.

"What are you kind of style are you looking for?" I start flipping through the catalog showing him different hairstyles.

"I kind of looking for the middle long, but not too long. Like the length of it to my eyebrow when it's straight. Then I want it faded out on the sides. Like that one." He pointed to a hairstyle that almost exactly is the haircut he described.
