Chapter 9
~Alan~
Every day I had to work at the North Pole, I was getting a lot more annoyed with my stupid co-workers who were clearly jealous that I was an awesome person. They were trying to pick on the smallest things I did and tried getting me in trouble with our boss, aka Santa Claus.
Normally, I wouldn't want to get in trouble from Santa Claus but after finding out he was most likely going to be staging some sort of heist, I didn't care if he yelled at me.
So I also didn't bother trying to ignore Brandon and Janelle whenever they were annoying me. In fact, all I did was annoy them right back.
All the other co-workers on shift with us were probably hating the three of us right now for the constant arguing. Not my fault. Janelle was just a spiteful person and Brandon was a baby who couldn't get over the fact that Jerome and Nolan had something very special.
The only downside to my annoying Brandon and Janelle right back was that they were distracting me from trying to find out more information about Santa being evil.
When Santa went on his break, it was also my scheduled break as well. I went into the staff room and I was going to try snooping around but apparently, those evil people were on their break too.
"I'm surprised you haven't been fired yet," Janelle said to me as soon as I walked into the staff room.
"You know, I'm surprised too," I said. "I'm clearly a horrible employee if I've been kept around for so long because, you know, logic."
"Trust me, it's not just you that's horrible," Janelle said. "It's your whole family."
"Uh huh," I said, walking over to the snack table to spend my break time eating food.
"I just don't get how anyone likes your family," Janelle said. "You're all just so pathetic."
"Keep talking," I said. "This is amusing. Don't you have anything better to do than trash someone? Are you... Madly in love with me? Is that why you won't leave me alone?"
Janelle's face scrunched up in disgust. "Ew, gross. Why would I like you?"
I shrugged. "Depends. Why do you keep bugging me when you really have better things to do? Conclusion: You love me and want my attention."
"Get real," Janelle said. "I would never like anyone from your family. You're all just... Not right in the head."
I looked away from the snack table to look at Janelle. "And what's that supposed to mean?"
"You all support your brother," Janelle said.
"Which brother?" I asked. "Nolan?"
"What other brother would I be talking about?" Janelle asked.
"Well, I have two other brothers," I said.
"But none of them are gay," Janelle said.
"Whoa, hold on," Brandon said. "I may not like the Prince family, especially Nolan, but don't say they're not right in the head just because Nolan is gay and they support it. And if you're so against it, why the hell have you been hanging out with me whenever we had a shift together?"
"Why not?" Janelle asked.
"Are you stupid?" Brandon asked. "I'm bisexual. I had a boyfriend. Does that make me not right in the head?"
