20. Jerome | Final Chapter

Chapter 20

       Christmas Day came and after spending the morning with my family opening up presents and stockings, Mae and I went to the Princes' house to do our Secret Santa and so we could give our boyfriends the presents we got for them.

       After a bunch of searching, I finally found the perfect gift for Nolan to be considered my boyfriend gift and not my Secret Santa one. I still had a really good one for Secret Santa but the one I think Nolan would love more was my boyfriend gift.

       Their whole family was downstairs in the living room, either using their new gifts or, if they were Nolan, eating a bunch of food and the gingerbread house. Nolan had the whole gingerbread house on his lap as he took the candy off and ate it.

       When I sat down beside him, he smiled. "The candy is so good."

       "Is that all you care about right now?" I asked.

       "Yes."

       "Of course it is."

       Ryder told everyone participating in Secret Santa to get the gifts they were going to give to someone else. Once everyone had the gifts, we had to give the gifts to the person we got for Secret Santa.

       And I didn't believe who ended up getting my name.

       Nolan.

       "Ryder, did you rig this?" I asked. "Nolan and I got each other. You rigger."

       Ryder furrowed his eyebrows. "I don't get how that would be considered rigging. And no, I didn't make sure everyone got a specific person."

       "You're still a rigger," I said. Ryder just rolled his eyes and ignored me.

       Nolan reluctantly handed me the present he got me for Secret Santa. "I hope you like it," he said. "I'm not the best at gift giving and I also had to get you a present for being my boyfriend so... Yeah. They kind of go together, I guess. Both presents that is..."

       "Nolan," I said. "You don't have anything to be nervous about. I'll love anything you give me. Especially condoms."

       "Shut up," Nolan muttered, his face turning beat red. I love making him blush and he blushed very easily. He claimed that someone could look in his direction and he'd blush.

       Nolan wanted me to open my present first between the two of us because he was really nervous and wanted to get it done and over with. I opened the Secret Santa gift first, smiling at what was inside. "You are the best boyfriend ever," I said.

       "You like it?" Nolan asked. "Because I remember you saying you wanted to buy a new microphone for your VidGalore channel but you wanted to wait until after Christmas so you could buy gifts for everyone first. So... I got you one."

       "Of course I like it," I said. "If this is the Secret Santa gift, I can't wait to see the boyfriend one."

       It was even better, and I got what Nolan said when they sort of went together.

       He got me a new camera as well because that was also one thing I wanted to get after Christmas so I could spend my money on presents for everyone instead.

       "You are really the best," I said, giving Nolan a hug. "Thanks, Nolan. I love it. And you. I really love you."

       "I love you too," Nolan said.
