Chapter 1

Carly's POV

I woke up this morning at the same time as usual. 5:30 am. I do this so I can avoid everyone else who lives here. I ran to the bathroom to take a quick shower, then I changed into my batman crop-top with a black tank-top underneath, some jeans and my high-tops. I then grabbed my phone, earbuds, my batman skateboard and went downstairs to the dining room.

I live at Miss Sunny's Orphanage For Girls, or, as I call it, hell. I grab an apple and head out the front door. It was 5:45 am I had 11 hours and 15 minutes until I had to be back. I walked down to the skatepark and, of course, it was empty.

I started to do some tricks on the ramps and stuff when I thought of something super amazing. I stopped my skateboard and sat at the top of a ramp. I pulled out my phone and got onto my orphanage's website. I went into the data base and changed the name from 'Miss Sunny's Orphanage For Girls' to 'Miss Darkness's Orphanage For Snobs and Barbies'.

After I did that I checked YouTube and saw that Sky had posted a new video. "Yay!" I thought out loud. I started watching and laughing and almost fell off the ramp, like, twice!

It was 3:00pm so I still had 4 hours left. I decided to skate some more but I had a major crash. I landed on my arm and it hurt like hell! Luckily, a little boy was at the park next door and saw me and told his mom. She ran over to me and said, "Oh honey, it looks like you broke your arm! Let me take you to the hospital!" I nodded and she showed me to her car.

"Mine name is Lisa by the way, and that's my son, Eric."

"I'm Carly! And thank you so much for driving me."

"No problem! Is there anyone you need to call?" Lisa asked me.

"No, I live in an orphanage and they really wouldn't care much. Just as long as I'm home by 7:00 pm," I said.

"Okay here we are." Lisa said as we stopped at the hospital.

We got out of the car and went inside. We walked up to the nurse and I started talking.

"Hi umm I think I may have broken my arm....." I said.

"I'll take you in for some x-rays," the nurse said.

"Okay," I replied. "Lisa you don't have to stay here."

"No worries, I'll drive you back too!" she said and I was whisked away by a nurse.
