Chapter 7

Jerome's POV

I want to know how this happened to Carly. Carly really grew on all if us and everyone was taking this differently. Adam was a mess! He loved he to death. I saw him fall asleep but I stayed awake until I heard the nurse say Carly's name.

I was the only one awake so I went up to the nurse and she said,

"You can see her now, she is awake."

She told me her room number and I walked down to her room. I knocked on the door,

"Come in!" I heard Carly say.

I walked in and wanted to sob. She was missing her left arm.

"I so sorry!" I told her and hugged her.

"Hey Jay, it's k. I haven't used this arm for a month anyways. I haven't played Minecraft of GTA in a month. I'm fine." she said.

"How'd this happen?" I asked her.

"It's nothing." she said

"Nothing? you don't have an arm!" I told her.

"It's fine!" she said

"Carly the only way to help you is of you tell me what happened."

"I can't."

"Okay fine, but I'll find out sooner or later."

Carly's POV

It has been 1 week since I've been in the hospital. I've been asked how my arm was crushed 100's of times but I never answered. I didn't want to be a tattletail.

I was leaving the hospital today. I didn't have my phone but i never asked for it. Adam filled out the papers for me to leave and we got in the car.

It was just me and Adam. It was a quite ride. Once we got home I ran to the front door ignoring everyone and lied face down in the couch.

"I missed this couch so much!" I said and heard laughter.

"What about us?" Jerome asked.

"Eh! I saw you everyday!"

"Oh and Carly one of our friends is coming over today. His name is Tyler (munchingbrotato)"

"Okay!" I said "I'm going to my room call me down when he get here!" and I walked to my room.

I grabbed my phone and saw 17 messages from Jake.

'How come you didn't walk with me?"

'Are you ignoring me?'

'Why weren't you at school?'

The last message said,

'Maybe we shouldn't be friends if you just gonna avoid me'

Noo! He has it all wrong! I needed to talk to him. I ran downstairs and said

"I need to go somewhere I'll be home soon!" I grabbed my board and went out the door before I could get an answer. I knew they would just tell me I couldn't go.

I don't know why I cared so much about Jake I've only known him for a day! technically a week but that really doesn't count!

Keeping balance on the board was harder then I thought with just one arm. I finally got to Jake's house and ran to the front door. His mom opened the door.

"Hi.... Carly! Oh why! What happened to you?" she said.

"Nothing I'm fine! I just really need to talk to Jake! I told her.

"No Jake isn't here, he's at his dad's house. Here's let me give you the address." She wrote down the address in a piece of paper and I saw it was only a couple of blocks away.

"Thank you!" I said and I got on my board and rode all the way to Jake's dads house.

I finally made it and I knocked on the door. A man in his 40's opened the door and yelled "MAX!" I was about to tell him I was here for Jake when Max came down the stairs.

"Oh hey Carly! Come in!" He grabbed my hand and lead me to what I presumed was his room.

"Max I really need to talk to Jake!" I told him. He just sat on his bed.

"Where is he?" I asked him

"Jake?he was really upset when you didn't talk to him for a week." he said.

"I know! I was kinda in the hospital getting my arm cut off." I said

He looked at me and finally realized I only had one arm.

"Ohh... That makes since." I looked down.

"Can I please talk to him?" I asked Max. Then Max pushed me down on to his bed and kissed me. I couldn't push him off because I only had one arm. I heard the door open and someone say,

"Oh sor-- Carly?!" It was Jake.
