"Let's see. Will I win a Grammy? Perform at the White House? About to meet the woman of my dreams?" Cracking his knuckles, Piero dramatically prepared to open his fortune cookie. "What'd you guys get?"

"Mine's lame," you said. "In the end all things will be known. Duh. I didn't need a fortune to figure that out."

Ignazio opened his and read, "Prosperity will knock on your door soon."

You snorted.

Gianluca shot you a look. "I know, right? You snatched someone else's cookie, Igna."

"He better not be anywhere near someone else's cookie," you said dryly.

Reaching over, Ignazio plucked half of yours out of your fingers. "Don't worry, angel. Your cookie is the only one I want." He popped it in his mouth with a wink.

"Gag," Piero muttered. "Get a room." He cracked his fortune with a flourish, and then scowled. "What the fuck?"

You leaned forward. "What's it say?"

"Confucius say," Ignazio ad-libbed, "man with hand in pocket feel cocky all day."

Piero threw half his cookie at Ignazio, who caught it deftly and grinned.

"Give me that." You snatched the fortune out from between Piero's fingers and read it. Then laughed.

"Oh come on, (Y/N)!" Piero whined.

"Well?" Ignazio prodded.

"Pick another cookie."

Gianluca and Ignazio laughed out loud. "Pwned by a fortune," said Gianluca.

Piero threw the other half of his cookie.

You were all in Gianluca's hotel suite for some Chinese food, a sweet plum wine, and TV night. It had been quite a long and intense day for the guys--with several radio interviews, appearances on a couple daytime talk shows and a whole two-hour concert followed by a meet-and-greet session and some more interviews--and they'd decided they would go celebrate properly the end of another successful tour on the following night.
