I sit  in the waiting room waiting for my name to be called. It's not the first time I'm here I mean this is my role in life, to donate blood to my sister to keep her alive. Whether I like it or not this is what I was born to do.

"Ariel Smith." The nurse , Nancy , calls out. I stand up and head towards the room my sister is being held in. I've been hear numerous times but I've never gotten use to it.

"Ariel?" Doctor Johnson says signalling me to sit on top of the blue leather bed across from him.

I stare at it. I wish i wasn't born .........oh who am I kidding I wish I wasn't manufactured.

I sigh. I sit up and make my way , ever so slowly, to the bed. I roll up my sleeve and the doctor applies some antibacterial liquid at the center of my arm.

He gets all his instruments prepared and then finally injects the needle inside me. I close my eyes shut . I mean after about fifteen years don't you think I would be used to this by now.

About three minutes later I open my eyes and there on the table top sits three full beakers with my Scarlett red blood.

I guess I'll always be my sister's keeper.
