my sisters keeper

chapter 1

I stand up from my bed , it's almost time to go to school. I look around my room studying each and every corner.

My room is very simple. It's not too big and not too small. At the far left corner sits my desk and chair. At the right is my chest of drawers and a small wall mirror and then my single size bed sits directly under my window.

I walk to the door and turn the door knob. I open the door to reveal an empty hallway . I take my white fluffy towel from my bed and quickly go to the bathroom.

I close the bathroom door and turn on the shower. I wait for  the water to turn to a more favorable temperature and get in.

I let the water cascade down my back as if almost soothing me. I quickly wash my almost white blonde hair and turn the water off.

I enter my room and get dressed in a simple black tight fit Jean, a grey v-neck and a black hoodie. I study myself in the mirror.

My hair is  still wet from my shower and clinging to the sides of my face, my blue eyes look tired almost strained and I have bags underneath my eyes.

Yesterday we had stayed longer than expected at the hospital so we came home around one in the morning today .

You'd think my parents would let me sleep because I'm the reason Alice , my sister , is alive up to this very day but no they don't even pay attention to me until they need something from me , my blood.

I turn around and blink the tears away. I head towards the door and go downstairs. The house is still dark which means mom, dad , Alice and Adrean ,my brother, are still sleeping.

I take my bag and head towards the busstop. I sit down and read a book we have been studying about in English, Chinese Cinderella.

The bus isn't going to come until about 34 minutes . I just had to get out of that house. I pull my hoodie up and continue reading.

I sit at the back of the bus and look out the window. I can't wait for this day to be over.

My stop is the last one so the bus is headed to school now. After about ten minutes we finally arrive and I jump off.

I head to my locker and check if I have the right books .

I make my way to my home room and sit at my normal seat at the front. I hate sitting at the front it makes me feel like a nerd which I am but that's not the point.

I sit and wait for the bell to ring. The bell rings five minutes later and learners start to pile in. One by one all the people that hate my guts pile in . None of them paying any attention to me but of course with my luck it won't be that way for long because......

" Hey nerd did you do my homework?" Brittany asks  while tapping a perfectly manicured finger impatiently at my desk.

I simply nod and take it out. I give her and  look down. I hate her so much .

" Good." And with that she leaves.
