changkyun ran over to an empty spot in the clear beautiful grass. "jooheon, come here." changkyun sat down with jooheon next to him.

"it's beautiful, isn't it?" changkyun gazed into the night sky. crickets chirped from a distance and the stars glimmered brightly. "it's as beautiful as you, jooheon."

jooheon giggled. "of course, it is." jooheon looked over at changkyun, tracing his features with his eyes. "you're beautiful, too." his voice was almost a whisper. jooheon stopped at changkyun's lips, staring at them as they tempted him.

"take a picture, it'll last longer." changkyun chuckled with his deep voice. he looked back at jooheon. changkyun boldly leaned in, their lips slightly bushing agianst each other. "this'll only last a while, though."

changkyun leaned another centimeter closer and their lips met. changkyun's hand cupped jooheon's round face as their lips moved simultaneously. when jooheon pulled away, the sweet taste of changkyun's lips lingered on his.

"you taste good." changkyun said softly.

"what do i taste like?" jooheon asked.

"like the dinner we just ate." changkyun replied with a grin.

jooheon rolled his eyes. "you're so cheesy."

changkyun shrugged. "deal with it, because you're stuck with me."

"well, i'm glad i'm stuck with you." jooheon responded, leaning his head on changkyun's shoulder.

"me too." changkyun said.

suddenly, jooheon jerked away and looked around frantically. "did you see that? did you see that?"

"did i see what?" changkyun questioned, startled.

"i could've sworn i saw someone." jooheon stammered nervously, eyes darting.

"hey, it's okay. i'm here. you're alright," changkyun soothed him. "do you want to go home now?"

jooheon nodded silently.

changkyun pulled jooheon back through the trees, jooheon clinging onto him with every step. "i saw someone, i saw someone." he kept whimpering.

changkyun felt how scared jooheon was, and he wished he could calm him, but all he could do was stroke his head and shush him quietly. changkyun walked jooheon home. as soon as they were both inside, jooheon turned on all the lights, closed the curtains, and locked the door shut.

"aren't you... overreacting?" changkyun asked cautiously.

jooheon looked at changkyun with big, scared eyes; deep brown eyes that told changkyun everything the man had been through. "i've never been safe."

"jooheon, it'll be okay." changkyun held both of his shoulders, staring right into his eyes. "i'll be right here, by your side." changkyun planted a loving kiss on jooheon's forehead and pulled him into a reassuring hug.

when they departured from the park and back to jooheon's house, they sat on the large couch, bundled up in a blanket; snuggled underneath it. jooheon's head laid on top of changkyun's shoulder, while changkyun's head was on top of jooheon's. they slept in each other's embrace soundlessly, their shoulders rising and falling in sync as they breathed.

-

jooheon groaned, waking up to the sound of sizzling and changkyun in an apron. shit, changkyun looked hot. jooheon's face flushed a dark crimson red as he rolled out of the couch.

"good morning," changkyun sang in his deep attractive voice. "i'm just making rice because i can't make anything else."

jooheon chuckled, leaving the living room and to the bathroom. he brushed his teeth and washed his face, going to changkyun after. changkyun smiled, plating the side dishes he prepared. "you look hot in that apron." jooheon blurted suddenly.

fuck.

changkyun grinned and struck a pose. "do i?" he proceeded to dance in circles around jooheon, making the older sigh and shake his head.

"i take it back." jooheon grumbled.

changkyun leaned in until their noses were touching and smiled. "do you?"

when jooheon opened his mouth, changkyun pulled away abruptly, leaving jooheon hanging. "the rice is burning!"

"no it's not..." jooheon replied. "that's not how it works..."

"oh?" changkyun said, cocking an eyebrow. "then how about you show me?" he took off the apron and draped it over jooheon's body, typing a neat knot in the back. "go ahead, show me!"

jooheon walked over to the rice cooker and jabbed at it with his finger. "see, it says 'cooking'. that's how you know it's NOT burning."

changkyun clapped. "bravo!"
he looked jooheon over. "you look pretty cute with an apron on yourself."

jooheon rolled his eyes and tossed the apron on the floor.

changkyun frowned and crossed his arms. "why would you do that?" he walked over, picked up the apron, wadded it up into a ball, and tossed it at jooheon.

"hey!" jooheon yelled, laughing as he returned
the favor.

small moments like these were what made jooheon happiest.

however, in his state of bliss, jooheon did not notice his phone ringing with a call.

-

"fuck!" minhyuk exclaimed, throwing his phone on the floor. why wasn't jooheon picking up? he was probably with changkyun...

minhyuk fumed as he imagined what jooheon and changkyun might be doing. was changkyun kissing him? hugging him? whispering sweet nothings into jooheon's ear? whatever he was doing to jooheon, minhyuk felt that it should be him. he knew it should be him.

minhyuk just had to remove changkyun.
