Chapter-2-The Encounter

An area of pressure was created among the 3 friends. Of all the people that they could meet they met Ellen. Ellen had a lean stature and attractive blonde hair, she was strikingly charming. A shaky hand fell on Lara and Clausen, "What do you think you're doing mate, go talk to her" said Clausen, "Let's take baby steps."Lara couldn't believe her eyes, "First you get an invite to Francis's party and the next thing you encounter is the girl you love, man I'm sure you used all your luck at this moment" said Lara.

Ellen slowly walks towards them, Leo takes a deep breath and turns around to have a final emotional glimpse at his support squad only to find out that they were missing. Leo muttered under his breath," Nothing is tough for an open-minded individual, nothing will block your path" said Leo to himself in a rather loud tone."If you move my path will not be blocked" said a remarkably familiar voice. Leo turned swiftly to find Ellen right behind him. Leo felt a rush of emotions, his chest became heavy making it difficult for him to talk."Hey Leo, didn't expect to see you here" said Ellen."I d..idn't exxpec..t to see you here Elly" he stammered. A feeling of a wave crashing hit Leo the moment he said Elly, but what happened after his talk with Ellen surprised Leo and his buds who were eavesdropping from a corner.

Ellen felt  delighted that Leo called her Elly, she immediately posed a question to Leo which left him stunned."Are you free tomorrow afternoon, I need to go supply shopping, just wondering if you will be able to join me? It's totally up to you" inquired Ellen. Lara and Clausen couldn't believe what the were hearing and the man in the limelight was bamboozled."YES" said Leo with no regrets or hesitation. Seeing Leo's cheerful attitude Ellen couldn't help but laugh, seeing Ellen laugh Leo joined the frenzy. After a round of hearty laughter, "I'm leaving then" said Leo hastily."How can I contact you tomorrow without your number, silly" replied Ellen with signs of residual laughter. Ellen quickly rifled through her bag taking out her mobile. They quickly exchanged numbers and said their respective good-byes.

Out of a corner emerged two silhouettes of a boy and a girl. Lara and Clausen pounced on Leo, unable to contain their excitement they began shouting only to find an angry manager coming for their heads."Lets split up and meet tomorrow at Leo's place, Clausen, don't forget its Leo's place, not mine" said Lara with a grin. They parted ways for real this time, a smile illuminated Leo's face which could be mistaken for a sly grin. Leo had a long way to go and he knew that he had just crossed the first hurdle.

Leo reached home, It was late in the evening. He rang the bell but no one responded. He immediately understood the situation and pulled his copy of the keys. He opens the door and enters the house, there was a woman sitting in the dining room. Leo snickered and walked towards the mystery lady, "You remembered the way back home huh?" asked Leo."If my dumb brother remembered to call me then he would know why I was long gone," said the stranger."I know I know, it's my mistake sister or should I say Leslie" said Leo with a joking tone.

Leslie smiled, "Don't you have any respect for your elder sister."

"Where have you been, its been 6 months since I last saw you," said Leo. Leslie smiled and told, "I'll never be out of your sight anymore, I'm moving into our neighbourhood so keep your hands clean cause your sister is on the prowl."Leo couldn't control his happiness, but he was worried at the same time."What if she gets to know about Ellen"thought Leo."So Leo how are your buddies Lara and Clausen doing."Leslie suddenly paused, she was entranced in thought. She suddenly shouted"HOWS OUR CUTE NEIGHBOR DOING, "one thing the narrator of the story forgot to mention at the beginning was that the cute neighbour was none other than Ellen the blonde. Leo's face flushed red"Sh...Shee is doing fi..fine," said Leo nervously" oh that's good," said Leslie."How about we go for dinner, we'll call your buds and Ellen too," said Leslie. 

Hearing this Leo panicked. Leslie figured out something was wrong, she tried to ask Leo what was wrong but Leo was the first to talk, "I have a long day ahead so I'm going to crash early, tell mum when she gets back," said Leo as he sprinted to his room. Leo opened his drawer and picked up a pen and paper."So long day huh, tomorrow will be the day I play my move. Leo scribbled down a few ideas onto the piece of paper, he felt restless and without further delay, he crashed into his bed. By the fifth minute, there was a grinding sound playing in the room. Leo fell asleep unaware of the facts of what the night holds for him..........
