Become A Family

I dropped my umbrella instantly and tried to move the wooden block which fell on Sehun but I was not strong enough to move it by myself. I called my dad and told him about Sehun in shaking voice.  

A few minutes later my dad arrived. My dad called ambulance right away, then my dad and I moved the wooden block together. Sehun was unconscious when we found him and his face was bleeding.

I stayed at the hospital day and night when Sehun was hospitalised for 10 days. Sehun suffered mild fracture in his right hand and right leg, his right cheek got a few stitches because the skin was torn by nail on wooden block

My dad borrowed money from his boss to pay the hospital bill. My dad came home very late every night because he worked a double shift to pay his debt.

I delivered milk to 50 houses every morning to help my dad earn money. My boss was kind, he gave me 1 small bottle of milk everyday. I gave the milk to Sehun because my stomach was always upset when I drank milk in the morning. I also worked part time at mini mart close to my house as cashier from 4 PM to 10 PM. 

My dad didn't know that I was working because when I delivered milk in the early morning, he was still asleep. When my dad came home at night, I was already back from my part time job at mini mart. 

I bathed Sehun twice a day, after coming back from delivering milk and before going to work at mini mart. I also fed Sehun because his right hand was in cast. Sehun couldn't go anywhere because his right leg was also in cast. Every time I came into my bedroom, he was always staring out the window from my bed.

Spring had come and school started again. I still delivered milk in the morning but stopped working at mini mart because I was busy with school. Sehun attended the same school as me, he was in 4th grade and I was in 9th grade.

Even though my dad had paid off his debt, he still worked a double shift in order to send Sehun to study at school. I never hung out with Soobin again because I had to save money as much as I could, I didn't want to put more burden on my dad. 

Everyday Sehun and I went to school together and he always waited for me to go home together. Every time I saw Sehun being bullied by his classmates, I would scolded them while tweaking their ears or hitting their butts. After some times, no one dared to bully Sehun again because they were afraid of me.

Sehun and I got winter break from school. I worked part time at mini mart again from 10 AM to 4 PM and I still delivered milk in the morning. My dad's warm jacket went bad already, so when I got my payment, I bought a warm jacket for my dad and a notebook for Sehun as christmas present. I lied to my dad that I bought the presents using the allowance given by him.

The three of us exchanged gifts in the living room on christmas eve. My dad gave me flat shoes as a christmas present. "Woaahh... You got new cellphone... So lucky," I said to Sehun jealously when Sehun opened his christmas present from my dad. "Sehun needs one so that his classmates can contact him to do school work," said my dad. "I know... But still, I envy," I said with a pout.

Suddenly Sehun mumbled, "Thank you, ahjussi." My dad and I dropped our jaws in shock. "You can talk??... I thought you're a mute for this whole time," I said while staring at Sehun in disbelief. My dad laughed gladly and said, "Glad to know you can talk." My dad smiled at Sehun and said, "Ahjussi will be happy if you can call ahjussi appa." Sehun called my dad, "Appa." My dad laughed happily and satisfied.
