You'd barely slept a wink all night, unable to get the horrible nightmare out of your head. It was about your dad and his fellow Avengers. You weren't an Avenger you were just a school kid but your dad was Iron Man so you knew everything that was going on (even if your dad didn't think you did). You helped out in the lab in anyway you could, it's true, all Stark's are geniuses. But, you were no superhero. Letting out a frustrated sigh you threw the covers off you and jumped out of bed, deciding you'd have enough of just staring into the darkness.
"FRIDAY, where's my dad?" you asked as you turned your bedside lamp on, blinking at the sudden invasion of light.
"Mr Stark is in his room, Miss Stark. Would you like me to wake him for you?" she asked.
"Hmm, no thank you, FRIDAY." you sighed standing from your bed. The last thing you wanted was to wake your father if he was actually getting some sleep for once. He rarely managed a few hours on a daily basis. You decided to go make yourself a warm drink in hopes that would make you tired so when it didn't work, you decided to slump on the sofa in living area and watch a movie until you felt tired.
The film had barely begun when you heard footsteps approaching the living room. Glancing over your shoulder you saw a tired looking Peter, walking across the room in just his boxers. "Hey, FRIDAY said you were in here, what's up?" he yawned as he scratched his head.
"Can't sleep." you frowned turning your attention back to the TV. "Why are you up?" you asked as you watched Peter out the corner of your eye, trying not to stare.
He sighed taking a seat next to you. "Couldn't sleep either." You nodded smiling a little as you held the blanket up you had pulled over you offering him some warmth. "Thanks." he blushed slightly as he moved closer to you. "So... hmm... why couldn't you sleep?" he asked as he looked towards the TV, not really caring what was on. All he could think about was you, like every other damn day.
You sighed thinking about the nightmare. "Bad dream, don't want to talk about it." you answered. "What about you?"
Peter shrugged as he turned his attention to you. "I heard you scream about three hours ago and was worried." he confessed, his face burning a little bright.
"Oh." you answered looking at him, smiling as you saw the red hint spread up his neck. You bit your lip turning away as an idea popped into your head. "Well, good job I wasn't being attacked, Spider-boy." you teased.
His eyes widened a little. "I- well- I'd have saved you if you were being attacked but, you weren't and... no one else, came to your rescue so... ya' know- shut up." he muttered as he saw you start grinning. "Loser. And, it's Spider-man, Y/N." he corrected you. You nodded pulling a serious face at him before smiling once more.
"M'sorry I woke you, Peter." you whispered as you moved closer, snuggling into the sofa and his side.
Peter shook his head smiling as he wrapped his arm around you, pulling you closer to him. "It's fine. I'll always worry about the people I love." he mumbled not really paying attention to what he was saying until he said it due to being engrossed in the film. You smiled to yourself leaving what he'd just said alone for now, snuggling closer to him. Peter sighed lightly as he pressed a kiss to your forehead.
The pair of you watched the film in silence for a while, enjoying being with each other without worrying about anything. You thought about your dream for a while before you decided to speak. "I dreamt that everyone was ripped limb from limb by Thanos." you shivered at the the thought. You hated that time, you nearly lost everything. "I dreamt he killed you and laughed about it as he showed off your lifeless body like a trophy." you closed your eyes shaking your head. "I don't want anyone to die, Peter. Especially you or dad." you chewed your bottom lip.
Peter gulped pulling you closer to him. "I'm sorry you dreamt that, Y/N... I know how horrible that guy was." he sighed. "I still have nightmares about him." he whispered. "That day, I thought I was done for." he sighed turning to look at you. "All I could think about was... was my Aunt May... and you." he admitted.
"Me?"
He nodded sighing. "Yeah, you. God, I've thought about you every day since you came with your dad to talk me into helping fight against Captain Rogers." he smiled softly thinking back to the day he found you sat next to his Aunt smiling sweetly at him. "Damn you looked hot." he whispered looking off into space as he smiled to himself.
"I what?" you smirked, knowing he would get flustered by the question.
"Hot, it was a hot, hot day." he blew some air out turning his head in the opposite direction. "I- why would you worry about me, anyway?" he quizzed you with a hopeful smile on his face.
You shrugged taking a deep breath. "I'll always worry about the people I love." you whispered.
Peter's eyes widened as he realised what you said. He'd hoped you weren't listening to what he said then but clearly you had. "I-you- shit, you heard me then?" he asked blushing. You nodded biting your lip. "I- M'sorry, Y/N. I just, I just love you so much." he shrugged taking a deep breath. "You've always made me feel like, I;m as good as the others, even if I am a kid. You've always, believed in me and... god, you're just so, beautiful and I'm... I know I'm not-nothing, special." he sighed dropping his gaze towards his hand.
You frowned slightly up at him. Why would he say he was nothing special, you thought. "Peter, you're everything special." you smiled placing your hand on his cheek. "You've never treated me as 'Tony Stark's kid'... you always know what to say to make me forget my worries or make me laugh." he smiled half heatedly at you. "By the way... I love you a lot too... Spider-boy." you whispered with a grin.
Peter sighed dropping his head. "Man. It's spider-ma-"
"Just kiss me, already."
Peter nodded and gently placed his lips against yours, smiling into the kiss as you did. You slipped your arms around his neck, pulling him closer as he wrapped his arms around you waist. After a few intense minutes of kissing you both pulled back, letting your foreheads touch as you caught your breaths. "I love you, Y/N." Peter beamed before pecking your lips again making you giggle.
"I love you too..."
"You don't think they were, ya'know?" Sam raised his eyebrows at Steve insinuating that you and peter had done the deed on the sofa which is why you were laid together cosy like asleep wrapped in the blanket.
Steve frowned not entirely understanding what he meant. "What?" he shrugged.
"Having sex, Cap." Nat smirked as she walked by the two men standing behind the sofa looking down at the two teenagers.
Steve's face burned bright red at the realisation of what may have happened between the two young people. "Oh! No. Peter is a very respectable young man... I hope." Steve hoped for his sake he was. Tony Stark was very protective of his little girl, even if she was 17 years old.
"You hope what, Cap?" speak of the devil.
The two men turned round wide eyed to face their friend. For the first time since the whole Civil War, Steve didn't want to tell Tony something that he wouldn't like hearing. "Hmm... nothing, Tony." Steve shook his head quickly taking his leave.
Tony frowned turning to look at Sam. "What's up with Grandpa?"
Sam grinned over excitedly. He just couldn't help the need to tease Tony. "He's upset that he's not the only Grandpa around here anymore... Grandpa!" he slapped his hand onto Tony's shoulder before he nodded his head down you and Peter still wrapped up in each others arms, oblivious to what was going on.
Tony looked down, his eyes widened as he saw how Peter was holding you. "FRIDAY!"
Tony's shouting startled you and Peter awake immediately. "Yes, Mr Stark?"
"Send my suits in!" Tony glared at Peter who was now standing behind you hoping you'd be able to protect him from your father.
"Dad, it's not what you think." you held your hands out. "We just, kissed each other." you gave him a little smile.
Peter shook his head leaning closer so he could whisper. "Well, that's not all, we did."
"Shut up!"
