Prompts: God... you're beautiful
"What about my, feelings, Jack?!"
"I'm sick of hearing you say that! I know you have feelings, Amy!"
"Well, you sure as hell don't act like it."
"You sure as hell don't act like a lot of things but I don't complain!"
"What does that mean?"You sighed as you covered your face with your pillow, trying to drown the sound of you parents arguing out. Every night this week (month, year) they'd argued over something stupid and tonight was no different. At first you'd try to diffuse the situation but eventually gave up, they didn't pay much attention to you, so when you heard something smash you jumped up out of bed and grabbed your rain coat and umbrella. They'd argue for hours and you hated hearing it so you usually disappeared up to the roof of the appointment building you lived in. You'd hoped tonight you wouldn't have to as it was raining but you'd rather be out in the rain that stuck in your room listening to them.
You shook your head as you stood by the front door watching the pair of them shout at each other. "I'm going, out." You said. Nothing. You rolled your eyes as you opened the door and shut it behind you.
You let out a breath of relief as the cool, wet air hit your face as you opened the door to the room. You loved escaping up here, you see everything. You smiled to yourself as you walked over to your spot and took a slightly wet seat near the edge of the roof. You were in your own little world with your umbrella and hood up. Happy and content for a little while.
"Hey!" You jumped at the sound of Peter's voice behind you. You turned round to look up at him and began smiling a little. "You good?"
You nodded letting out a sigh. "Yes, Spider-man." Peter took a seat next to you still in his Spider costume. "Not changing?" You asked.
He shook his head. "Nah, I might need to save the world again." You began laughing a little, annoying him. "I might!"
You shook your head. "Right. Nothing to do with being embarrassed I'm here.
That I might see you in your tighty whities." You teased him.
Peter told you to shut up before leaving the two of you in silence. After a while he sighed turning to you. "Arguing again?" He asked looking at you. Peter was one of your best friends. You lived in the same building, had the same classes and had the same interests.
You nodded sighing, turning to look at him. "What else?" You shrugged. You stared at his masked covered face before smiling softly at him. "Peter?" He hummed in response. "Take your mask off... please?"
He nodded and pulled his mask off, revealing his gorgeous face to you. He dropped your gaze, blushing slightly as you did the same, looking away. "Hmm... I've been thinking-"
"Dangerous." You muttered but burst out squealing as he jabbed his finger into your side. "Okay, I'm sorry."
Peter shook his head grinning. "Let me talk to Mr Stark. See if he'll consider giving you an 'internship' too." He smiled caringly you.
You shook your head. "Peter-"
"C'mon, Y/N. You'll be happier than what you are now." You sighed dropping your head again. "You'll be around people who know what it's like to have a special gift and, who care about you... they'll make effort to make sure you're happy." He whispered. You chewed you lip thinking about his words. You hardly got any of that now, maybe you should let him. "Do it." He nudged your arm with his. "Please." He pleaded.
"Peter, I can't just-" He battered his eye lashes, giving you that sad puppy look making you break. "I haven't got anything I can use!" You sighed looking round.
Peter pointed to the sky. "It's raining. Use that."
You stared up, blinking as the rain hit your face. "I've never done that before." You frowned at the thought of messing up.
Peter placed his hand on your knee, immediately killing any bad thoughts of yourself. "First time for everything." He smiled softly at you.
You nodded taking a deep breath. You held your hand out and caught some rain before bring it back so the two of you were staring down at it. You were a mutant with the ability to manipulate the elements. Peter loved seeing you do things with your powers. You always look so free and beautiful to him. You focused your energy on it, breathing in and out. Slowly, the water began to vibrate and before long it was starting to move noticeably in your hand until it splashed and wet all over yours and Peter's face. You both burst out laughing.
You turned to look at Peter blushing as he looked at you. "M'sorry." You smiled shyly as you lifted your hand to wipe your face.
Peter shook his head as he did the same before he let out a soft sigh. He lifted his fingers and brushed a drop of water from your nose, smiling at you. "God... you're beautiful." He whispered as he slid his hand across your cheek until he could slowly pull your face closer to his.
You were less than a centre meter away when you heard a strange noise in front of you and decided to open your eyes. You pulled back from Peter gasping, your eyes wide with shock.
"So this is where you're hiding!" Iron Man said hovering in front of you. You both sat away from each other blushing.
"I'm not hiding." Peter answered.
"Oh, of course, you're making out with your little girlfriend here." Peter went to argue but Iron Man cut him off. "Just, kiss her and let's go.
Damn, kids, doing my headin'." He muttered as he turned his back giving you 'privacy'.You looked up to Peter smiling shyly. "See you later, Spider-web." You smiled placing a kiss on his cheek.
He nodded waving silently at you as you got up and began walking towards the door. "Oh... Miss Y/L/N-" you turned round to look at Iron Man who had flown towards you. Slowly his suit began to open and Tony Stark himself stepped out. Your eyes widened at the sight of him. You just assumed it was a suit not actually him. Peter had told you about the time he did something similar and that's what you thought he did. Obviously not. "I'll be in touch about your internship first thing Monday." He smiled down at you.
You gasped before looking round him and pouting slightly at Peter. His eyes widened as he looked away, his face covered in a light blush. "Thank you, Mr Stark but-"
"You're not gonna argue, are you? I get enough of that off him and quite frankly, I'm a little bit bored of the whole kid thing. I did not, sign on for this." He dramatically threw his hands about making you giggled.
"First thing Monday morning." You nodded. "I best get in... it was nice meeting you, Mr Stark." You smiled up at him before looking back to Peter. "And you, I'm gonna kick your ass when your done 'saving the world' Spider-pain in my ass."
Peter rolled his as he began smiling. "Love you too."
You waved goodbye one last time before shutting the door behind you. You began grinning when you thought about what had just happened but a sudden yelp from Peter made you stop. "What was that for?" He whined.
"For being a Spider-pain in my ass, too..."
