I look out the window. The feirce wind of winter blows at the frost covered window. The sun was setting and I started to get worried about my companion. my ears twist towards the den door and my head follows the sound, a dark figure is standing there. Waiting. I blink and its gone. I look back out the window, thinking it was only my imagination, but suddenly the dark figure is standing out the window, I gasp and fall off the couch my coffee spilling onto the cold floor. I run outside to the window and the only thing i see is the cold snow hitting againsted the window and frosty winds blowing againsted the trees, as they pleeds for mercy againted the winter.
I turn around and walk to the door, shutting it behind me. I walk upstairs to the small bed filled with warm fluffy blankets. As I walk up the stairs I hear something behind me. Suddenly a dead rabbit plops infront of me making me wince. "Shit.."
"Oh my god, I didn't think that would happend.." Suddenly my companyon appears from the shadows.
"Look i know you can disappear in shadows and stuff but can you not scare the crap out of me every hunt? You know I'm jumpy." I get up brushing my self off. She sighs and smirks.
"Who'd think a feirce warrior, oh sorry, a class 10 warrior, would be so jumpy?" She laughs. "towards what-" She picks up the dead rabbit from the stairs and dangles it in from of me. "A dead rabbit?" She laughs and turns away to the kitchen and grabs a knife, then begins to skin it.
"Is that all you could kill?" I laugh. she scowls. "Look, im sorry i dont have super speed, i have invisibility powers. Obviously."
"And that doesn't help you much cause the winter snow falls on your fur and gives you away to animals who are smart. Yeah. I know. You say it every winter."
She rolls her eyes.
"Why don't you hunt for once." She says preparing the rabbit some more.
"Someone has to watch the den for invaders. And a warrior is obviously the best choice."
She sighs.
"You need to lighten up Patches. Sooner or later your warriorness isn't going to help you."
"And sooner or later you'll-"
"No. I'm not learning how to use a sword."
"Really?! Why not."
"I don't NEED to. And I don't WANT to." She shifts into a human with animal ears and a tail, her long orange hair, and her blue eyes.
"I can use a scythe just fine." She turns to a long black pole leaning against a wall behind her. She focuses and a blade appears. "I enchanted this scythe. Only I can use it." She put the blade near her hand and cut her self. I roll me eyes.
"And it doesn't even hurt me!" She laughs and puts it back against the wall.
"Yeah yeah. That's cool and all. But you should still learn the basics of swords." She scoffs and shifts into a fox again and turns back to her rabbit.
"I'm serious Amber."
"So am I, Patches."
I sigh and sit down at the table.
What if they come back? Her scythe doesn't effect her friends and... a few former friends.
