Part Two: Pinky Promises
"What's this?" Brooke picks up the haribo ring you left on the side of your bed. "Well, I know what it is but I mean, why haven't you eaten it?"
You shake your head, dismissing her with your hand. "Oh it's just this friendship thing with Tom he made up. I just kept it...just because."
She puts it back where she found it. "That so cute! Wait, is this toned, tanned, hot Tom?" Her eyes widen slightly.
"He's got a lovely personality beyond the abs you know!" You chuckle. "Besides, you know how close we are. It makes a change from Harry."
"I don't see why you don't just ditch him for Tom to be honest, he's more of your kinda guy. Plus, he's totally into you."
You take a sharp intake of breath. "Oh be serious! Me and Harry have been going out for at least a year now, we can't just call it off like that."
"Is that the only reason?" Her green eyes pierce mine agressively. Why does everyone want to argue about Harry all the time?
"No! I...l...love him aswell."
She rolls her eyes at you. "Yeah whatever. Bullshit."
You ignore her, making for the door. "I don't care what any of you think, let's just go to this goddamn park thing."
As you arrive, you make out your friends on the bench closest to you, next to the famous graffiti brick wall. Annie was leaning against it with some of the other girls, whilst James, Harry and Roy are happily chatting to each-other sat down. Harry doesn't notice you at first, which annoys you slightly, but you put on your bravest face and walk right up to them.
"Hi guy!" You say brightly.
Harry glances at you, his lip curving upwards for what seemed a fraction of a second. "Hey babe."
The way he said 'babe' made you feel uncomfortable. It sounded almost sleazy coming from his lips.
You sat yourself next to him, the other boys giving you a 'what's up' nod. Harry doesn't really take notice of you because he's too busy talking to his friends, but he makes a note of running his fingers up and down your thigh. You can hear his breathing quicken and you start to squirm away. No way was he going to try this on now, in front of all these people.
The moment you jerk away, he starts to take notice of you. "So what have you been up to today, eh?"
The other boys smirk at you, as if they're all in on a private joke. You look over to the other girls, but they all have their backs turned, in their own little conversations. Even Brooke was too focused to break away from them and save her.
"Not much, hung out with Tom for a bit then-"
"What?" You look at Harry and his facial expression looks as if you'd slapped him in the face. "Tom? That gay knob-head?"
You start to get defensive. "Don't call him that! He's lovely." You protest, but start to weaken because you're scared he's going to get mad at you. "Don't be mad, I was just lonely..."
"Well cool. Whatever. Me and James had a great time together anyway. I don't give a shit what you do."
This hurts you a lot. He doesn't even try to make eye contact with you, signifying this is the end of the conversation.
There's a cloud of awkwardness settling in the atmosphere, when he suddenly bursts out. "I don't think you should hang out with him anymore."
Your heart drops. "What?"
