Where Were You?

"Where the hell were you?" Lukas was standing in the doorway, arms crossed with a stern glare on his face; Mathias looking behind him staring at me in confusion. I sighed, slumped my shoulders, and prepared to face the wrath of a protective and overbearing Lukas. With his trusty sidekick, 'somehow get you to spill out all your secrets out' Mathias, of course. Luckily 'spoil you momma' Tino and 'angry dad' Berwald weren't here. I blankly stare at Lukas.
"Out," I said. Lukas' glare hardened, knowing I was going to be difficult.
"Out where?" Anger dripped from his voice.
"Out there." I pointed behind me, not specifying where I was. Lukas' shoulders tensed. Mathias, not wanting there to be a fight, wrapped his arms around Lukas.
"C'mon guys, we can talk later," Lukas looked ready to argue, "besides, Emil looks tired." At this, he looked at me. Lukas sighed.
"Fine," he said tensely, "get inside." I walked past them, not looking behind me. I go up the stairs and into my room. After closing the door I throw myself onto my bed, wishing Alfred was there to cuddle with me. I hug a pillow and I think about him till I was too tired to stay awake. I fall asleep with a small smile on my face.
I awaken to knocking on my door. I slowly look behind me, towards the direction of the door. I moan and stretch, tiredly sitting up. I blink a couple times. My room was nice and dark, only enough light for me able to see, and my covers were so comfy. The knocking continues.
"What?" I slur, my voice practically dripping with annoyance.
"Dinner is ready, Emil," the sweet, cheerful voice of Toni is muffled by the door. I slowly nod, sinking down onto my bed.
"Okay." I close my eyes, falling back to sleep when I am brought back to the land of the living again when Toni, at least I think it's still Toni, knocks on on the door again. I groan.
"Are you coming?" He asks. I stare at the ceiling and heave myself up into a hunched sitting position.
"Yeah, yeah. Give me a few minutes," I say, staring at the myself in the full length mirror that was by the door. Why it was there? Simple, too lazy to put it somewhere where it seemed appropriate to put.
I stare at the mirror, glaring at my bruised neck. Damn Alfred and giving my hickeys. I go to my desk, where there was some makeup to cover things like that up. I stared in horror as I found out I ran out. I look towards my closet and see a jacket which was able to hide my neck.
I walk into the dinning room, seeing everyone talking and Mathias, of course, laughing. I slink into my chair which was across Mathias who was seated next to Lukas. Toni and Berwald taking the edges. I sat on my side of the table next to Peter. As I reached for a bread roll Tino most likely cooked, Lukas realized I arrived. He stopped telling his story to a intrigued Toni.
"So, are you going to tell us where you were last night?" I searched my mind for excuses.
"In my room," he raised his eyebrow, "in my bed, sleeping." Mathias sighed and set his fork down.
"Then where were you this morning? Because you sure weren't in your bed sleeping." I looked at everyone.
"Emil snuck out your backs?! Again?" My eye twitched. Berwald raised his eyebrow at Peter.
"Again?" Peter realized his mistake and his eyes widened.
"Uh, no?" So, much for keeping a secret. You see when I started sneaking out, Peter walked into my room. I payed him around ten bucks and promised to smuggle him into the next world meeting for him to not tell. So much for that secret.
"Peter," Lukas said. Peter laughed sheepishly.
"I meant that time when you guys caught him!" I face palmed. They weren't going to believe that.
"Pet'r," Berwald said, "tell us th' truth." Peter sighed. I spoke up.
"I bribed him into not telling." Lukas rubbed the bridge of his nose.
"You mean to tell me," he pointed at me, "you've snuck out several times before?" I nodded. He suddenly slammed his hands on the table and pointed at me and shook his finger no. "You better not be doing drugs, Emil Steilsson." I sat back, my face twisting in confusion and my head slightly tilted. I scoffed.
"Drugs? Why would I do drugs?" Lukas shrugged his shoulders, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms.
"What are you sneaking out for then?" Mathias asked. Tino started putting away Peter's plate and trying to get him to leave the dining room. I blushed and looked at the table. To hell with it, I'll tell them. I mumbled something. Tino looked up, pausing his task to get Peter out the room, trying to hear what I said.
"What?" Lukas asked, leaning forward. Tino finally got Peter out the room. I sighed and hunched over myself. Get ready Emil, get ready to become Rapunzel and have Lukas be that weird old lady. I'll be locked in a tower, probably guarded by trolls.
"I have a boyfriend." Lukas stared at me, dumbfounded. Mathias broke out into a huge smile. Berwald simply nodded.
"Thought so." He said. Peter suddenly burst through the door, Tino panting behind him.
"You have a boyfriend!? Is it that Leon dude?!" I blush and look at him in confusion.
"No! And why would you even think it's Leon    ! We're just friends!" Lukas leaned over the table, inches from my face.
"Who is it?" I paled. Mathias cheered, yelling something about getting drunk in celebration because I'm probably not going to die alone.
"This is why I didn't want to tell you, Big Brother!" I slapped a hand over my mouth. Lukas grinned, then glared at me.
"Tell me who you are dating, Little Brother." He grabbed my jacket and I ran. I ran to my room, of course not without stealing a bread roll. I slide down the door, and nibbled on my bread roll as I pet Mr. Puffin.
"Fuckin' hate this family."

Can you see my laziness with the chapter title?
And that is the end of the story! Well, short story. Real short.
Hope you enjoyed! Constructive criticism is appreciated!
