Chapter Three - Girl's Night

It had been months since I came to Hopes Peak and Gonta's lessons continued. I've gotten to know him like a true best friend. I refuse to believe such cliches in high school, but being with him felt so wonderful. I really, truly liked Gonta.

He was adorable, kind and was willing to do anything to impress me..

I was admiring the latest flower he gave me, a blue carnation.

He's too good for me. He deserves much better I feel..

"If he doesn't like you, then he's just like all the other degenerate males!" 

Did I mention that the girls came over to settle this slight debacle of mine? Tenko, Himiko, Kirumi, Miu and Kaede came over for some good old fashioned girl time. At least they all have a fountain of ideas, so they keep it interesting. Himiko decides to pipe up from her nap on my bed.

"Perhaps I should use a love spell on hiiiiim". 

"I think that's pushing it a bit, Himiko" Kaede giggles. Kirumi looks with a slight smile. 

"Perhaps the issue isn't that he may not like you back, but if he understands your feelings". 

I hadn't even come to think of it. Gonta has only felt love for bugs and his family. To even think that he may love me. Would it even be possible? Could he even handle such a strong feeling?

It didn't take long for Miu to step in and interrupt that thought.

"JUST TELL HIM YOU LOVE HIM AND SCREW EACH OTHER ALREADY".

I know we should be used to this by now, but we couldn't help but just stare at Miu for her outbursts and eccentric attitude.

"W-what? did I say something wrong?" Miu sniffed.

And her mood swings. 

Kaede stepped in. "I think what we're all trying to say is, we're all going to have different opinions on the matter. Maybe the decision is better left up to you?"

I give off a small smile in response. "Thanks you guys. I mean, at least I'm not the only one that goes through this, right?"

Thank goodness I have something in common with these girls.

"I have a similar situation with Shuichi. I think he knows, he just doesn't know how to express those feelings" Kaede sighs. We all nod in agreement.

"Pfft, all males are the same. You should just go with a chick, it's much easier" Tenko grabs Himiko in a tight embrace.

 "Nyeh, least I don't need a love spell for me" Himiko agreed

"Love spell? Please, a hot, eccentric inventor like me can get action every day if I really wanted to!" 

We stared at Miu once more.

"Aren't you head over heels for Kiibo?" Kaede pipes up once more.

"YEAH WELL.. AT LEAST HE'LL HAVE A NICE RACK TO STARE AT. He's cool to w-work on, okay?" 

Kirumi cleared her throat. "Ryoma has been taking the time to talk to me recently".

It was our turn to stare at Kirumi. Well.. that was unexpected.

"He is rather sad, but whenever I talk to him, I see the life returns in his eyes. It is a nice feeling"

Speaking of eyes, it was noted that the Ultimate Maid had a little sparkle in hers.

The night went on, the ladies of Hopes Peak talking their worries away. I should give Gonta a little more time. I care about him too much to give him so much pressure.
