This scene takes place in the middle of the ball, where we witness a drunk Kokichi and others singing some well known songs. 1st person? Eh, idk I did this for fun. Not really proper writing.

The night was lively and the party had well and truly started. Kaede came up with the idea that we should have a karaoke machine. It was also a great idea for people to start drinking...

Kaede was the first to sing 'Keep Holding On'. Like her pianist skills, she puts passion into her voice. It took just about everything in Shuichi to not burst into tears. To him, she was an angel.

"YES KAEDE!!!" He couldn't contain himself, and for once, didn't care what we thought. But that lasted all of about 10 minutes until he almost passed out singing "Sugar, we're going down". Turns out he drunk out of fear and ended up tumbling into Kaede's arms.

Kaito took away the stage with "Drops of Jupiter". Surprisingly he could handle his liquor quite well. He never took his eyes off Maki, which in return, made her blush like crazy.

"No, I didn't blush to a stupid song. Shut up". She'll never admit it, as much as it was obvious.

As much as we protested to Kiibo singing, he and Miu did a duet. It wasn't actually as ear splitting as we thought. Apparently she put in some functioning voice modules, specifically for singing. Their version of "Love the Way You Lie" would've been great had Miu not kept trying to make out with Keebo the whole time.

(I can imagine Miu doing the rapping and Kiibo just singing the chorus)

After Kiibo managed to drag Miu off stage, Gonta actually had the courage to go on and sing 'Fireflies'. It wasn't long for everyone to start singing along in a drunken manner but he actually had a sweet voice. I couldn't get the stupid grin off my face, even after he got off and hugged me.

"I didn't know you could sing, Gonta!"

"Gonta sing for bugs sometimes, but not usually in front of people" he explains.

"Another thing to love about you then" I beam.

He flashes a smile as Tenko went up and actually sung a pretty chill pro-girl song called "King of Anything". It didn't wipe off the glares she gave to all the men though. Himiko joined in the middle of it and claims that the power of magic can make her have the skills of a bard. They were actually a really sweet duo. They wrapped an arm around each other with Tenko sneaking a kiss on Himiko's cheek.

"Will you be singing, Ryoma?" I turned to see Kirumi conversing with Ryoma.

"Nah, I'm not drunk enough for that. What about you? You have a nice voice".

And without a word she was already up on stage singing "Young and Beautiful". It might have been my imagination but I swear I saw Ryoma wiping tears off of his face. He found his light again, and she was standing on right there on the stage.

And lo and behold, the mini supreme leader has gotten himself wasted and singing "And I will Always Love You" while making dead eye contact with everyone. We didn't know whether to be entertained, concerned or both.

"Should we get him down at some point?" I asked Kaito.

He laughs. "Nah, see how long it takes"

About 2 songs in and his tuxedo was being ripped off more at every chorus that came. Then he managed to fall off stage. Stayed flat for about 3 seconds, and then bounced back up as if he didn't fall and cause injury to his face. Lucky all the press and teachers had well and truly left by this point.

"You still got that phone on you, Kaito?" I asked.

"Say no more" He was already filming.

I think everyone was more focused on the drunk grape rather than Angie singing about Atua. In the end we all got together to sing "You Are The Music in Me" with Kaede on piano. It was a drunken mess but it almost heart-warming. I couldn't get enough of them.
