holly through me a clean bandage and I quickly wrapped my lower half, I felt my stomach.. thank god the puncture was near my hip.
i took a deep breath and stood up.
the sudden pain hit me again, I wanted to just collapse but I had to get to Jeremy. no matter what.
I bared my teeth and limped to were holly was kneeling.
I felt the lump in my throat, Jeremy was unconscious and trapped under one of the brick walls.
"Jeremy?! Jeremy!!" I cryed and kneeled down next to him, "come on! holly get him some water" I ordered.
she gave me a odd look, as if I didn't care for her anymore.
"please.." I shortly sighed, she shook her head and pulled out one of the small pump bottles and handed it to me.
I put the bottle up to his lips, the urge to kiss them was strong.
"Jeremy! hey.. come on.." I said and tapped his face.
still nothing, I tipped some of the water on him.
his eyes twitched, then they started to open.
"ja-a-ade?" he barely said, I smiled as a tear rolled down my face.
"yes, yes! its me Jeremy.. I'm here.. always".
he smiled slightly, I could feel Holly's eyes burning into the back of my head.
"can you get up? are you hurt?" I asked him, he shook his head.
"no thank God.. the couch saved me.. I just um.." he went blank.
"Jeremy?.." I hesitantly asked.
"huh.. what?" he said confused.
my heart sunk, I felt the anger build up in me, "Jeremy! its jade! your girlfriend for heavens sake!".
I heard holly huff, I turned around instantly.
" what's your problem!" I bellowed, her face went dull, "what's my problem.. WHATS MY PROBLEM! my problem is that you two are together and its like I dont even exist to you anymore!" she yelled and wiped her eyes.
"just forget it jade! I'm leaving!" she shorty said and packed her bag up, "you two are clearly happier when I'm not around!" she said blowing her nose.
I clenched my fists, "fuck.. Holly.. Holly please.." I muttered.
she turned her back on me and walked out the door, just like that.. my best friend was gone.
"god dam it!" I hissed and looked back at Jeremy who was passed out again, I put my hands on the ground.
the floor was wet, and sticky.
I slowly pulled my hand off the ground, the thick red liquid covered my hands.
"oh geeze.." I said and wiped my hands, I traced the blood back to Jeremy.
"jade.." I heard him stutter.
"yes.."
"please.. g-go.. the w-walkers will be her-here in a matter of minutes.. I can't.. c-cant let you die.." he slowly said, my heart clenched.
"no.. no! I won't leave you!" I sobbed.
he grinded his teeth, "jade.. please.. you have to go.. h-holly will need you.. "
I shook my head, I had to tell him.
"Jeremy.. um.. I have something to tell you.. and I can't leave you.. I wouldn't be able to handle another human.."
he looked confused, "what?"
"um.. I'm pregnant.." I said holding back my tears.
Jeremy's eyes swelled up, "a child.. my child?"
I nodded and took his hands in mine, "our child.."
I had never seen a man break down like that before. I couldn't tell if they were tears of joy.. or tears of regret.
