chapter 10 - heard attack

*fast forward again to 1 month later*

I rummaged through the bathroom pantries, hoping to god that the previous owners left one behind.

"pills, mouthwash, really!" I hissed and dug deeper.

I felt a box, "omg please be one.." I prayed and pulled it out.

I sighed with relief, "yes! a unused pregnancy test"

I quickly used it and sat it on the counter, praying that it would would only show one line.. not pregnant..

it was only a couple minutes when I saw one line show up.. I sighed.. "okay.. thank god.. I didn't want to bring a child up in a world like.." I eyeballed the test.. a second line showed up.

my heart dropped, "no.. fuck.." I swore.. "how do I tell him!".

"jade! lunch!" I heard holly yell from down stairs.

I took a deep breath and made my way down stairs.

"act normal.. your fine.." I whispered to myself just as I saw the other two sitting at the counter.

"Theo! hush boy!" I called out with a mouth full of bread, he turned around and whimpered at me.

"Theo boy, what's up" Jeremy said shortly after me, "maybe he needs to go bathroom?" he said again.

I smiled, "yea maybe he does.. I'll talks him to the back yard." I said and opened the door slowly.

Jeremy put his foot in the way, making it almost impossible to open it any more.

"really?" I sighed.

he chuckled, "I'll take him out.. go eat"

I shrugged my shoulders, "well okay.. thanks. I guess?" and sat back at the counter.

Jeremy called Theo and went outside, but seconds later Jeremy started calling.

"Jade! Holly!.. I dont think he needed to go bath-" the sudden loud bang deafened me; I was instantly thrown across the room.

I could faintly hear holly screaming and Theo's barking, but nothing from Jeremy.. I blacked out.

i woke to the feeling of my whole body being crushed and my rib cage was on the verge of collapsing. I saw the china cabinet spread across my body, I tryed to move my hips but was stopped by a stabbing pain.

the china cabinet was full of glass and had odd shaped handles, like knives.

then it hit me again, the pain was in my abdomen; burning and stinging.

"Jeremy! holly!" I weezed, but nothing.

"shit, shit!" I swore under my breath, "I have to get up.."

which was easier said than done.

I took a deep breath and lifted the cabinet up a few inches, my lungs quickly gasped for air.

"come on!" I said and lifted it a bit more, but my hand slipped; sending the cabinet right on top of me again.

I was winded in a instant, I swore this was the end for me.

"so tired.." I mumbled.

just as I was closing my eyes I felt the weight being lifted off me, then completely rolled beside me.

I faintly saw the out line of a girl, holly.

"jade?! oh my god!" I heard her say.

"Holly?.. what.. what happened.." I weezed again.

"I dont know.. but all I know is it attracted a big ass heard of walkers.." she said looking around.

"Jeremy?" I said with a little more life in me.

"I dont know.. I tryed looking for him.. but he didn't reply.." she said wiping her eyes.

"no.. no.." I said sitting up, holly pinned me back down.

"dont move! oh god please dont move.." she pleaded.

I looked down to see one if the handles lodged into my abdomen, the rest if my body was cut, badly.

"oh fuck! please holly find Jeremy!" I yelled, trying to zone out the pain.

she just starred at me, "fine.. i'll try.. but dont move.." she said and walked off.

I looked again at the damage,

"god dam it.." I painfully hissed.

"I'm gonna have to take it out.. there's no way I'll make it if there's a handle in my side.." I said, dreading what was coming.

  I looked around, there was a kitchen towel a few inches away from me.

I stretched my arm out but just missed it, I wiggled closer and pinched the edge of the towel with my fingers.

"okay.. okay jade... you got this."  I whispered to myself and took hold of the handle.

I wrapped the towel around the base of the handle, the pain already making me curl my toes.

"3..2............1" I hesitated and pulled the handle up, it felt like someone was stabbing me constantly.

"a little.. more" I whispered again, the pain even worse.

I pulled the handle out in one big tug and quickly put the towel over the small hole, I cryed out in pain.

holly came over, "jade! oh my.. you got it out! and I found him!" she said relieved.

I took a breath and replyed, "that's good.. I'll be over there soon.. hey pass me the bandages.."

she nodded and brought me  a fresh one, "thanks.
