Chapter Two: The Boy from the Cursed Temple and Us

Chapter Two:

Sam's pov

I frowned as we sat down.

We had been wondering around in this thrice-damned forest for about as long as we had in that stupid perpetual darkness.

Our light at the end of the tunnel wasn't as good as it should have been.

"I'm still thirsty." I huffed.

Elsie snorted.

"I'm still hungry."

The two of us looked at eachother before we burst out laughing.

"What should we do now?" I asked once we had calmed down.

"I guess we should continue on in the way we've been heading. Something happened when we did so in that weird tunnel thing."

I rolled my eyes.

"That something wasn't particularly good." I deadpanned.

"True, but something still happened."

I huffed but stood back up as she did.

"I guess we can continue." I mummbled unhappily, feeling particularly tired.

Two minutes later and we saw a break in the treeline.

We looked at eachother, grinned, and ran with energy we shouldn't have towards said treeline.

We broke out and laughed and hugged eachother.

"We're out! We're out! We're out!" we chanted happily.

"Who're you?"

Elsie's pov

I froze at the sound of the question.

Slowly, I turned towards the voice.

It was a small boy, with a stern expression on his face. He was about our age, which is probably six or seven. He had black hair and-

Oh.

I think I know who he is.

As the maniac I am, I replied, "Are you Suguro Ryuji?"

Sam looked at me with a strange expression.

The boy, or Bon, as I should call him, had a baffled expression. "How'd you know?"

"I was right?" I replied.

"Who're you?" He repeated.

"Er..."

I can't exactly tell him my name, right?

Sam's Pov

I sweatdropped as Elsie didn't say anything and found myself having a hard time thinking of a name for either of us as well.

Finally, it hit me.

"My name is Viridis!" I blurted.

He blinked.

"What kind of name is-"

"My name is Cyra. "

He frowned.

"Why do you have such weird names?" he questioned.

"Cause we can." I replied in a smart ass manner.
