Ozpin stood in his office, looking out the window and rubbed the bridge of his nose while sighing.
Qrow stepped into his office with a coffee mug in his hand.
"You know, he's making you look like a fool," said Qrow as he leaned on the desk.
"His heart is in the right place," responded Ozpin, "He's just... Misguided."
"Sometimes, I'm not even sure that he has a heart," said Qrow as he took a sip of his coffee, "So, have you chosen your guardian yet?"
Ozpin turned around to face Qrow.
"Maidens choose themselves. I simply believe I've found the right candidate. Ever since the day I met her, I had the feeling she would be the one. She's strong, intelligent, caring... but most importantly, she's ready."
The elevator doors opened again and Pyrrha stepped out with a smile on her face.

"Yang really got rilled up," said Blake, describing the battle with Team FNKI.
(y/n) had a slight smile on his face as Blake spoke.
The two were in the library together before the one-on-one matches began.
"Well, I'd better go," said Blake, "I got to watch Yang's fight."
She kissed him on the cheek and left.
(y/n) continued to read, but his hand touched the place where she kissed him, smiling all the while.

"And now... The moment you've all been waiting for, said Port over the broadcasting system, "The one-on-one finals!"
The crowd cheered as the contestants stood confidently in the middle of the arena.
"For our first match, it'll be Yang Xiao Long and Mercury Black!"
The crowd cheered as both brawlers stepped up to each other.
"You better not go easy on me," said Yang confidently.
"As you wish," said Mercury with a dangerous smile.
As the crowd cheered, Yang and Mercury circled each other until Port gave them the go-ahead.
Yang made the first move, swinging a fist at Mercury only for him to meet her with one of his kicks.
Yang didn't let up as she aggressively pressured Mercury, but he was skilled in his own rights.
As she attacked, Mercury would either dodge or counterattack.
"Please don't tell me that's it..."

"T-This is... I-I can't..."
Pyrrha staggered back a bit as she rested one of her palms on her temples.
"I know this may be a lot to take in," said Ozpin calmly, "but now you understand what's at stake here."
"But how could the legend be real, much less remain a legend?!"
"Sometimes even the greatest stories can become lost to time..." said Ozpin.
"This can't be happening..."

"This can't be happening..." thought Yang as she raised her hands in the air.
"Yang Xiao Long! Surrender yourself!" commanded an Atlas Soldier as his allies surrounded her.
"Why'd she attack me?!" screamed Mercury, holding his crippled leg.
A terrified Yang looked at the screens above her that showed her attacking Mercury.
As the crowd cursed her name, she looked to her teammates, who looked on with horrified faces.

(y/n) looked on his scroll, watching the live broadcast of the fight.
He stood on the skyscraper of the ruined city on the outskirts of Beacon and watched as Grimm began to circulate towards Vale.
"Ah... So it's beginning..."

"I want to believe you..." hesitated Blake, "But this is all too familiar to me..."
"Blake..." cried a desperate Yang.
"I want to trust you... I will trust you..." said Blake, "But first, I need you to look me in the eyes and tell me that he attacked you. I need you to promise me that you regret having to do what you did."
"I saw him attack me," said Yang calmly, "So I attacked back."
After a sigh of relief, Blake smiled at her partner and began to leave with the others.
"Okay. Thank you... We'll get out of your hair."
