She sighed, her eyes watering as she stared out the dull window.
It was as if she was in a movie, watching the children in the mini park in the middle of the president's kingdom. The beach with a happy ocean flapping its waves. It made her think of her encaged life.
She wasn't happy one single bit. Her sun was always down and her stars never shown a single spark of light.
She took out the raven styled book she kept under her desk and scribbled random words.
A chuckle escaped her shaking lips, remembering those bad moments she had and those good ones. More over the moments she was thrown into the dark basement.
Her tears kept running from her swollen eyes. Although she covered her face to prevent the tears from becoming visible, it always slip past her hands and land on the poor, innocent paper.
The dark ink that decorated the page went scattering all over just the way her problems did for her.
She was depressed. She wasn't satisfied. . . She will never be.
She screamed loudly in her head but lightly in her empty office only not to draw the attention of other workers that worked near her.
Near her? No way. They were all in the floor bellow her office because the only people in the 16th floor is her, her fired secretary, and her bodyguards.
She didn't want to look strong but she had to. They force her to 'coz they only cared for her image in cameras and TV shows and on stage and on Kdramas, not how she cries herself to sleep.
She was guarded 24/7 which makes things more miserable than it already is.
Her father, yes. A rich man. Her mother, a gone woman. Her, a rich lady.
But she didn't like her life. Everywhere she went, there was a threat. Everywhere she went, she should either have 2 or 3 body guards with her.
She hated her life. She hated her house. They weren't like this a few years ago but now they are.
Before, their house was just as big as her joy. It only had two floors just like every house in their neighborhood. She loved it that way, having many friends who would come over. But now, she couldn't take a single glance at them because if she did, one of her bodyguards would block the view and ask her to keep walking on the gray paths.
She was turning 18 but she didn't care. Her dad didn't care either so why would she? Since when was the last time she had a birthday party anyways?
She felt relaxed in her life because her father didn't want her to ask more and didn't want her to ask less.
Whenever she dreamt big, he'd always bring those thoughts down.
Everything she did was tested, memorized, classified, and filed. And she had nothing to do with that.
She'd always talk to the images the air would blow and the shapes the clouds would form.
But that all changed with just a small knock on her office door.
She imediately picked up the papers she ripped and threw them on the bin she had under the glass top desk before wiping her face with a wet tissue and sitting upstraight on her leather chair.
"Come in." She cleared her throat before he came in.
There she got it magnified.
The change of Kim YeunJi.
