Just clocking the age of sixteen is good thing for every teenage girl right? Well not Anna. Anna is a beautiful girl with beautiful brains but she has so many regrets, regrets as to why she was brought to the world being an illegitimate child of a well known man who never failed to fulfill his right has a father.

Her mom was a maid in the SNEILINGS home, she used to be polite and in fact well respected by the rest of the maid because she was a lady of morals.

Mr SNEILINGS was a good man he had his eyes on her for a while even with the fact that he was married. One thing led to another and he finally had his way with her(Anna's mother) and they conceived Anna. Being a wealthy man, he took them far away and gave them everything they wanted. House, money, best education and even love. He loved them sincerely and like a father would, he kept them away from them media.

Has the years went went by Anna became his only source of joy and he showered his love on her. He took her to the best school were his children studied too and like the old say goes"good things must surely come to an end " so was it for Mr SNEILINGS, His family found out and made a fit of it. They showed hate and disgust for Anna and her mom miss Sonya and even bullied her at school which made Anna goes back to the shadow.

This family feud and bully affect Anna to the extent of giving a traumatic childhood experience.

Anna became distant and she started growing hatred for the public and it also gave her fear and a progressive hearing trauma Much wasn't left of her any more as time goes by. She soon started hiding from the world and was withdrawn from the people around her. things started to look bad has was tagged an illegitimate child. Her mother begged her dad to change her surname to hers "Mae" to hide her from the public which he accepted because he doesn't want bad for his child.

He took them to Manhattan, bought a home , hired a nanny for them, made financial support for them, stopped Sonya from working insisted on paying monthly to her account, opened a savings account for Anna, ensured she studies online, made Anna's room sound proof and even comes once a month to visit them.

Anna! ever since age nine, she never step foot outside, always dressed in baggies and hoodies covering head to her toe, became distant from people, never touched or hugged any one because of her fears of being touched, always in her room with everything she needs ,everything that made her not to leave her room. No one saw her hair or even her skin colour in fact, not even her mom..

Anna learnt how to live through Internet, made friends with anything that does not have to do with feelings or human but we all know that nothing can take the place of a mother. Once in a while, her mom would bring food to her and seek opportunity to check on her daughter. Other times, food would be brought by the nanny but it would be placed at the door and then she would knock and announce that her meal is at the door.

In life there are always times when we need affection from loved ones but don't often get it well ,that implies in the case of Sonya .she often yearns for her daughter but never gets it other time,she would pay for time with her daughter and tell her it would only last for seconds which would end up being for hours . Anna soon realizes this and starts giving her mom little that worth more of her time to her mom , every time spent was a memory Anna likes to treasure everyday and only her mom could gain access to Anna. But soon those moment was short lived.

As the years goes by ,Anna and her mom became inseparable. They always spend time talking or playing in Anna room but they never stepped out. She was the perfect daughter anyone could ask for. She was advanced and intelligent, she never had friend or friends just her mom. Her dad comes to visit when ever he had the time other times, he would face time to talk to her because he knew her fears. He was always present on her birthdays and brings her gifts. they never left her for the world ,they loved her,until her mom got diagnosed of stage four lung cancer.

She had been ill for long but never told her daughter, because she didn't want to break her heart or the promise of never leaving her daughter that was why she used all the time she had left. Mr Sneilings had a know on the matter and had supported his mistress decision. For months now, she's been away from Anna saying she was on her long vacation hiding the fact that she was admitted in a nearby hospital.

Few days after Anna's sixteenth birthday,she woke up feeling so unusual like she was been suffocated. she dragged her self lazily from the bed and went to do the daily routine, after that she was so downcast and t'was like her system didn't agree with her so, for the first time in seven years she took out a nice black sleeveless shirt, black bum shorts and a black hoodie to match to put on, went to her vanity table picked up the most precious jewel and put it around her neck. After the necessary, she quietly unlocked her room door to go down stairs for the first time to the living room.

The nanny had left earlier so she went to the kitchen, grabbed her breakfast ,eat moodily. After she was down she headed to her room but before she took four stairs up, she felt weary . not knowing what to do,she ran back down and sat on the sofa in India style, picked the TV remote n flipped through channels.

Soon enough,she dozed off on the sofa which pretty much was not her thing. After so much time,she woke up by the screeching sound of the door and instantly ran off to her room seeing her dad. Matt Sneilings saw his daughter ran off but quickly told her to wait. He was so distraught by the news that the doctor told him

"I'm sorry to tell you this Mr matt but your wife has not less than four months or even less. She's going to die"

Those words were like a bullet was shot bullet shot right through his heart, He was in pain. Seeing his daughter brought much more pain because she was oblivious to her mother's illnesses. Anna turned slowly to see her dad few inches way ,she saw his feature that he was in pain so she went closer to him but not so close,she asked with a shaky voice that was nearly a whisper "what's wrong sir?"

"Anna,please come sit, I have something to tell you"" please Anna ,trust me".. Anna only responded with a nod and followed quietly. After sitting ,her father made sure she was okay and started

"Anna,please listen carefully to what I'm about to say". "Your mum...your mom....she's in the hospital and she's dy....dying" with tears rolling from his eyes,he told her everything that happened for the past years. He knelt in front of her to make sure she's alright. He thought he would be strong when telling her but right now,he was a sobbing mess.

With utmost shock, All Anna could grasp from the conversation is the fact that her mother was dying..it was like ripping out her soul from her body , pain tearing her limb by limb she just sat there looking dead in the eye. "Okay...okay" was her only comment and she abruptly stood up and headed for the door. She ran out the house with tears in her eye blurring her vision ,ran not knowing were to go but kept on running.
After so much exercises, she stood right in front of a tall building with so much noise .
