It no less than 10 minutes after I got back home that my girlfriend Cheyanne said, "What the hell are you doing with that damn car on that trailer?" I answered with, "I saw this car and I wanted to bring it home and fix it." She told me that I was crazy if I wanted to repair this car and that we'd have no where to store it at. So I called up a few friends and I decided that I'd build a garage on our property large enough to fit about 10 to 12 cars in it. So we took a few weekends in the summer to build the garage. The garage was completed in about two weeks with the help of about five people.
After my buddies and I finished building the garage, We decided what better way to make it an official shop than to put our own mark on the place. What I mean by that is that Austin had the great idea of doing burnouts in the garage and then clear coat over the marks so they are permanantly there.
So Idealy I volunteered to go first. And of course since my truck is a duramax, it had to spool and build boost. Once I had enough boost built up I let off the brakes and I let the big dog eat! The truck was bouncing off the rev limiter and was making those tires turn to dust in about 30 senconds. I had then realized that my tires were on fire and so I pulled out of the garage and parked in the driveway and got out to make sure everything was alright. I grabbed the fire extinguisher out of the back seat and quickly put the fire out to make sure I didn't ruin anything Important.
Once everyone left my house I had asked Austin to help me unlod the car into the shop. He agreed to it and I said, "Hey if you want to hang around and work on the car with me I got beers in the fridge." He said "Hell Yeah buddy!!" I told him thanks for the help and I'll see him later.
Austin left my house and I immediately went to work on the car getting it apart to see what parts I needed to order from Summit Racing. I started off with the hood like every car guy does. I had started to pull the intake manifold off and I said, "Son of a bitch! This is not a good sign." I had found that the #3 Cylander had a ton of water down in the block. And for a car like this thats not a good sign. So I grabbed a breaker bar out of my tool box, A big tool to get bolts off that are old and rusty. So I put the breaker bar on the Camshaft pulley to try and turn over the engine to ger the water out of the cylanders.
