{4} The Only Way

{ Silver's POV }

I found Embry and he stared at me.

"You're in a coma." He said and I looked at him. "I know. But Em you've got to listen to me carefully, because if you don't, I'll have to come back as a vampire." And he looked at me.

"I'm listening." He said and I looked at him and exhaled heavily. "We have to procreate before a week is up, or I have to come back as a vampire."

And he looked at me. "You need me to do it when you're unconscious."

And I nodded.

"I'm so sorry to put this on you, but I'd rather it be you then anyone else." I said and his subconscious self, stepped forward and kissed me. I felt his arms wrapping around me and I saw his tattoo next to mine. "I love you Embry."

I said and he looked at me. "I love you to. And choosing Jenny over you, was the worst mistake of my life." And I felt his hands on my waist. "Do it." I whispered and I felt his hands shaking.

{ Embry's POV }

I woke up to see Silver blinking next to me. We were in her place next to Sam's and I was only wearing shorts.

"You're not a virgin anymore it looks like." She said and I looked at her and pulled her against me, feeling her mouth against mine. She bit my lip and I found our tongues battling.

I looked up and Sam led the pack inside. "Great. Just what I need. An audience." Silver said as she pulled on the jacket that Sam offered to her.

"Well you are awake. And it looks like E ran a marathon over there. Did you finally do it?" Paul asked and I looked at him, growling under my breath.

"Taking that as a yes. That leaves two virgins in the Uley Pack." And I rolled my eyes. "Three. Unless Jacob got around to it when I was unconscious."

Silver said and Jacob grunted. "Nice to see you to." And he hugged her tightly.

{ Silver's POV }

"Hands off."

Embry said, sliding out of the bed swiftly, and standing up next to me. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I leaned against him.

"Cute. But back to the point, Silver lost her virginity at age 8. So why did it take Embry so long..." Paul started and my fists were clenched at my sides as I growled through my teeth.

"Paul don't." Embry said and I was shaking with fear and rage.

"Wasn't she raped or something?"

And I growled and blood began to leak from between my fingers.

"Paul stop!" Embry said and suddenly I slapped Paul across the face. "Shut up!" I roared and he looked at me. "You aren't my alpha bitch."

He said and I looked at him. "I should think not. I'm glad Sam took you in so I didn't get stuck with the hot headed guy with a stick shoved so far up his ass that he can't see it himself." And Paul lunged and grappled with me.

Embry opened the window and I kicked Paul out of it and I leaped after him, ripping through the jacket.

We lunged at each other, clawing and ripping at each other's throats as we did so. Embry had phased along with Sam and Jacob, ready to break up the fight if it got too bad.

I sunk my fangs into his spine and clamped down hard. He howled and I shook him hard before releasing him. He staggered to his feet and I stood up. "Don't ever say that again."

And I phased again, racing off, to the howls of Chuck, Rey, and Bull at the return of their alpha. I had a wolfish grin on my face, my tongue lolling out of my mouth as I did.

I looked up and smelled leech.

"Go warn Sam." I said and Rey raced off, being the swiftest out of the whole pack. I snarled as I expanded my senses, and saw Victoria racing away.

"Bull go warn the Cullens."

I said and suddenly three vampires appeared and Embry, Sam, Jacob, and Quil fell in behind me, covering my flanks as Bull raced away. I snarled and felt pain wash over my shield, but for me, it felt like a whoosh of air.

I growled and recognized the one in front, it was Darren, Raphael's twin brother. "You killed my brother!" He said and I looked at him and shook my head. "You hurt my imprint." I snarled and he suddenly switched his focus to Embry, Sam, and Quil.

Quil collapsed, howling with agony.

I expanded my shield to include Embry and Sam, and suddenly Quil stood up, staggering to his paws.

I realized, that by covering Sam, I was covering his two Betas as well.

Sam looked at me and nodded slightly. I inclined my head in a nod and stood up as Embry nuzzled me with his wolf head.

I scratched him behind the ears and Darren stood up, his face murderous.

"You may be a shield, but you are not a physical one."

And he charged and slammed into Sam, snapping his left foreleg, and knocking him out of my range.

Quil lunged and suddenly he howled, twisting in midair as pain flowed through him. "Embry!"

I yelled and he dragged Quil back into my range so he was free. I stepped towards Sam and I snarled as Darren wrapped his arm around Sam's neck.

"He makes a great morsel." And he reared his head back and suddenly collapsed as his head rolled away.

Jasper stood there, his eyes glowing yellow. "Thanks." I said and he nodded. "No problem."

And he disappeared, dragging the other two with him. I lit the bodies on fire and went to check on Sam and Quil. Quil was fine, but Sam's leg was only slightly healed.

He could put weight on it, but only enough so he could stand. Embry jogged over and took his other arm around his neck and they looked at me and I nodded. "Silver."

Sam said and I looked at him.

"You're one of us. You know that right?" He asked and I nodded.

"Trust me I know." I said and he nodded as I helped Quil and Embry help Sam limp out of the trees and into his own house. I immediately jogged into the kitchen, hugging Emily, and was shocked to find two people who had to have just phased.

"Seth? Leah?" I asked and they turned around to face me. "Hey!" Seth said and tackled me. "Oof." I said and got up, as he hugged me tightly. "Nice to see you to Seth." Embry said and I looked at him and he grunted as Leah slapped him on the shoulder.

"Hey! Don't hit the imprint."

I said and she snarled at me and I ducked and rolled as she leaped and phased, slamming into the lawn.

I snarled and she lunged at me.

I roared and suddenly felt dizzy. I cried out and suddenly I collapsed, my eyes closing.
