Alex was practically dragging Han through the store but eventually found the game. The new Trench album by Twenty One Pilots was quietly playing throughout the building. A girl with long blond pigtails with brown tips was playing on her phone at the counter. The two boys walked up to the counter and bought the RPG. They walked to Alex's house to play the new game. "Are you ready for the U L T I M A T E G A M I N G E X P I R I E N C E?" Alex asked as he slid the disk into the console in his room. The loading screen appeared, however a wifi error popped up. After trying a few times, Alex suggested that he should go check the router. Alex got up to attempt to fix things. Han noticed that Alex was just standing in the door frame. "Alex... you okay?" Han asked as he walked up to his boyfriend. Then he saw it. Instead of the living room that was once there, there was a grassy field. Han was in shock. It appeared to be in the same realistic yet cartoonish style of the game they were just playing. The building around Han and Alex disappeared, turned to dust. They had no protection from this strange new world they found themselves in. Without a word, Alex turned to Han and pinched him. Han reflexes kicked in as he flinched away. "O-ow! What the frick man?" Han said as the looked at the now irritated area on his arm. "...Sorry. I just... wow." Alex's eyes drifted to Han's clothing then to his own. Han was now wearing a purple shirt with long, transparent, silk sleeves. He had more or less the same pants and brown boots. Alex now had a grey torn hoodie in place of the P!ATD T-shirt he had before. Alex started to take the backpack off of his shoulders, and emptied it onto the ground. He started laughing. "What the..heh..fuck. You realize what is happening right? We are in that game. We are in The Paradise Quests." Han was still in shock. After all, his entire world had just changed. "Are you sure this isn't just some sort of prank? Maybe... maybe it was your brother and your sisters! Or our parents or.... did you do this?" Han stuttered. "This would be a very elaborate prank if it was one. We got this though. We've watched so many movies about things like this. And we've played so many games. We'll be alright." Alex said as he looked up at his boyfriend. Han knelt to the ground next to Alex and started crying. "I.. fell asleep during all of those movies... and-and I..." Alex sat there with Han until he regrouped. Han sniffed and suggested they should probably actually look at the things that they dumped on the floor. A loaf of bread, shoes, bandages, a wooden dagger, and a small cloth bag filled with some coins. Alex started to pack the things back into the backpack when Han spotted something in the distance. "What... is that?" Han mumbled as he stared at it. Alex stood up and they watched as it came closer. It seemed to be this big furry beast that was running straight towards them. "Alex... all we have to defend ourselves is a fricken stick." "Not only that... but that is a high level monster. We should be battling slimes or something easy to kill like that. Most times we would've spawned in some sort of building with a cut scene. We might be in the wrong place..." Alex rambled on about stats and such but Han was more fixated on a second figure heading towards them.
