"208 DOLLARS?!" I gawked at the small rectangular paper, being bent from my frustration and surprise. Low and behold, me, an adult male already struggling within my first 2 months of having moved out. "Be an adult" they said, "Just make it work" they said. I couldn't believe this Bullshit!... I barely run air in my apartment for fear of running up the bill, and this is how they acknowledge me? I mean, granted I do play a lot of COD on my PS3, but that's already a lot for the WiFi. Gah, I don't know if I can make it... and its been so hard getting a job around here.

You would think me of all people, would be able to make it out here without issue. A 5'8" Canine, Lab breed to be specific, black fur coating me down to my paws but my hind legs were a light chocolate brown from my fathers side of course. On top of all that I was never dressed like a bum, only Calvin Klein, Authentic Leather Jackets, Rock T-Shirts mainly from 80's to 2000's and to top it all off I always had my authentic leather blue watch with a gold trim 18 karat to be exact! That was my prized possession y'know. Earned it with my own grit and determination.

None the less, at this point I had to just accept fate and maybe dip into my credit card despite saying I wasn't gonna do that like 8 hours ago. After I got another dominos pizza of course.. and a pack of smokes!

Anyways, I turned the hallway, marching slowly but loudly up the stairs wanting to make my presence and frustration pretty clear to anyone who came my way. Man oh man I was so pissed I could probably beat someone up... In fact yeah! "Next punk who looks at me with ANY funny look, gets it. Period!" I thought to myself.

As I made it to the 7th floor of course, my mind was at ease and slowly I was using what they taught me in Anger Management. I shut my eyes, letting my instincts guide me back down my end of the halls, "Phew... breathe.... 1..... 2.... 3... Ahh.. I'm ok no--"

OOF!

Annnd the emotions are back... almost as quickly as my eyes opened up.

"HEY! WATCH WHERE YA STAND SHRIMP!" I furiously exclaimed with no regards as to who I was addressing.

"i- i- i-" A small and slender Sun Bear stood stuttering and blushing hard. I will admit, he was kinda cute but definitely not my type. "I'm sorry for that... I was just looking for my apartment.." He managed to get out while looking dead at the ground, but kept pushing his glasses up to keep from falling.

"Its... whatever.. Just watch where you're goin." I replied with a still dominate tone mixed with my low growl, pressing forward and intentionally nudging his shoulder to show who's alpha around here... or mainly the 7th floor. I will say though, it was a dick move to just do that and walk away but theres no going back now, gotta keep up that tough fursona.

I approach the brown metal door at the far right end of the stairs. Labelled 292, conveniently my birthday month and year. And if you even break it up 9 is the day as well. Always reminds me to be thankful for birth. Even if that doesn't make sense to most.

The door swung open slowly and of course I gave it a bit of a shove cause the nails are older and jam every so often, which if ya can believe, is a pain. Especially when you're attempting to carry 4 bags of groceries, pack of soda, And milk which... I don't even know why I have milk, I never drink it yet I buy it.
