“so y/n welcome to the dorm!”

chan announces as we enter the moderately sized dorm.

“thank you. it’s so well kept and really homely.”

“only because chan woke us up an hour early to clean for your arrival.”

chanbin complains.

“yeah yeah whatever let’s give her a tour.”

felix says as he casually throws his arm around my shoulder.

“okay i guess i’ll need to know where to put my bag’s.”

i say gesturing to the four large suitcases by my feet.

“oh yeah you are sharing a room with me, felix hyung, and woojin hyung. y-you know since minho hyung is gone and all.”

jeongin says sheepishly, causing woojin to perk up at the mention of his name.

“we can help you unpack!”

seungmin suggests.

“thank you but you really don’t have to.”

“nah we insist.”

“fine.”

“aaaaand that concludes our tour ladies and gentlemen i hope you enjoy your stay!”

chan says in english making me laugh.

“oh why thank you mr.bang chan.”

“hey your english is good… and your accent.”

he states.

“oh yeah yeah fact time!”

changbin announces.

“o-oh okay. hey why don’t we do a v live for the fans!”

i suggest. there's a chorus of yes’ before jisung opens the v app on his phone ready to start the live.

“oh here y/n put this on.”

chan hands me a hoodie with the words STRAY KIDS printed on the back. i proudly take it and slip it over my head.

“now pull a weird face and stay really still.”

chan says and i follow suite as jisung turns on the live and the fans start to join. when there are 1500 viewers chan decides to start the live.

“hey guys welcome to q and a with stray kids’ newest member, me, hyun.”

the live was a mess of questions but afterwards we all were invited down to a brunch organised with JYP himself. for a while we ate food and cracked a few jokes until jinyoung asks to see the boys’ reflections they wrote from their last lecture.

“of course you hyun were not with us in time for the last lecture but i think hearing the reflections the boys wrote will really help you.”

i nod my head in agreement. each of the members then proceed to read out their reflections. i listened intently to each one and all eight of them has something that resonated with me in them. once they’d all finished reading jinyoung congratulated them.

“well done. each of your reflections is a worded document of what you have learnt since my lecture and from my lecture however all of you need to listen when i say; i’m not telling you to become the perfect honest, diligent, modest person, i am telling you to put effort into trying, because the honest, diligent and modest person… doesn't exist. theres is no human who is all three of these virtues so i am telling you do the best you can do and try to become those, but always keep in mind, nobody ever is all of those things. and you can't do it alone, because if you help each other you’ll receive quite a grateful result.”

all of us nod in unison.

“now let’s get back to the main part.”

jyp states, earning confused looks from all of us.

“you know the singing, dancing, rapping… i am now going to tell you your fourth mission or, for hyun, your first.”

the atmosphere all of a sudden falls serious.

“your next mission will be a public busking event.”

a few of the boys mumble under their breath and i can see the worry in their eyes.

“there will also be mystery listeners from our company placed in the crowd and behind the scenes by me, and i’d like you to know that through this event… elimination is possible. thank you all for meeting with me and i look forward to your performance.”

we all get up and bow as he leaves but not a word escapes our mouths.

i take my seat and face the camera in front of me for my solo interview shot for the show.

“a busking event in the streets is a completely new concept for me and the boys and we will all have to try our hardest because elimination is possible during this round. i know that felix works extra hard but since minho was eliminated and i joined we have been helping each other learn korean and despite the fact that he’s older than me i can't help but feel slightly responsable for him especially when he puts himself down for messing up a verse. if felix gets eliminated i could never forgive myself and forever feel like it should have been me. all that being said i would never want any of the boys to be eliminated and if they do get i don’t know what i will do with myself because i have a tendency to blame everything on myself. on a lighter note i hope we do well in the busking mission, fighting.”
