life can be overbearing sometimes, here's a short list of things that can help put your mind and body at ease!
1. make some time for yourself! taking care of ourselves is something some of us tend to forget. yes, putting on a face mask is a way of self care, but self care is much more than just physical. go outside, feel the fresh air and breath it in. it feels amazing to take a pause.
2. physical contact physical contact doesn't necessarily have to be with a significant other! as human beings, craving physical contact is something normal. giving a hug to a friend or a family member, or holding a loved ones hand is something's that's enough to make you feel warm inside. i love hugs and holding hands and every time i receive one, it's enough to make me smile for the rest of the day.
3. learning a new skill find a new hobby, you never know! it could be something you fall madly in love with. i started playing guitar as a hobby, and i love it so much. it feels good to find a new skill.
4. building a playlist i love building new music playlists! it's something that takes time and really makes you think about which songs to include in a playlist. i love apple music for building playlists, and have a ton on there! https://itunes.apple.com/profile/foreverains
5. stargazing! i've always loved going outside on chilly nights and sitting with my dog near me and simply just look up at the stars. it makes me feel small and grateful. there's also apps that point out which star or constellation is what.
6. chase after happiness simply do things that make you happy! it's quite vague, but making yourself should always be you number one priority. there's only one of you in this world, take care of yourself, little one.
