Rebecca kept running , the adrenaline kept her moving.She had to make sure she was far enough. As she ran through the dense forest into the park she bumped into a man and fell. Se said,"Sssorry."The young man searched her eyes for an answer but all she turned away and ran. Rebecca rushed home ,got in and ran straight to her room . A few minuets later the butler came in and said,"Madam your father wants you in his study."Rebecca knew excatly what this meant, she went to the study.Her father shouted,"Do you think I'm stupid!"Rebecca did not answer,he continued,"I said no running in my house." He took his whip and hit Rebecca until he was satisfied with the amount of blood that was on the carpet.Rebecca did not flinch or make a sound. After several beatings he said,"Get ut of my face you unwanted beast."She silently left and went to her room and took the novel she was reading.The maid came in and treated her wounds, she never said anything.A few minuets later the butler came with yoghurt and grapes.She ate and went to school. Her step brother Dave went in his luxurious car and she walked to school.She went to her locker and Dave came and said,'Rebecca I'm taking you for lunch after school. All the lessons ended a bit faster than she hoped and as she walked towards the school doors people were pressing aginst her as they all wanted to leave.her back was hurting, she felt like screaming but she just kept it in. As soon as she was now in the parking lot Dave called her over to get in the car.She was shocked and she said ,"you want me to go in your car." he replied,'Yeah get in.' She slowly got in and , the ride was silent .They arrived at this fancy restuarant.They went and got a table for two.Dave said,"So tell me about yourself."Rebecca looked at him and said,"Sorry if this is rude but what do you want from me, please stop acting like you don't know dads whips me every night and if you and if you and your mother are plannig something I swear.."Dave said,"I am not planning anything ,I never knew dad hit people in the first place, and trust me at least ,I want to be a good brother that I wasn't inthe past three years."Rebecca nodded in agreement. the food came and she finished everything on her plate and Dave said,"So do you talk to anyone." Rebecca answered,"Dad doesn't allow me to, he said a worthless virus like me must not infect people."Dave replied,"sorry, but have you exchaned a few words , to someone who is not a teacher." She thought about the guy she bumped into yesterday and she said,"yeah , this boy I bumbed into him whilst I was running and He asked if I was fine ."Dave said," at least you are making progress, let me pay."Rebecca said," Dad gives you money." he nodded and they drove home.
