I stood before my new school, looking at my schedule. I think I looked really helpless because suddenly a guy tipped me on my shoulder and asked me if he should help me. I nodded thankfully and showed him my schedule.

"Oh cool your first lesson is maths, mine too! I mean not cool I hate maths, just cool because we're in the same class." he brabbled and I began to look at him more closely. He had dyed green hair and earrings. He also had green eyes and was a bit taller than me. His pants were black, with holes in it and he wore black boots and a black shirt, with a bandname on it.

"Yeah," I smiled. "and what's your name again?"

"Oh sorry, I'm Michael." He smiled. "Clifford." he added.

"Cool, I'm Ashton. Irwin."

"So let's walk to our classroom? He suggested.

"Sure, don't want to come late to class on the first day." I laughed.

He nodded and we entered school.

On the way to our classroom he waved some people he was friends with and hugged an asian looking boy.

"Ashton, this is Calum, my best friend. We've known each other for ten years now.

Calum this is Ashton. Ashton, Calum. Calum. Ashton. Ashton, Calum. Calum - " He was interrupted by Calum smacking his head. " Yeah, we know now." He acted annoyed. Michael just laughed and I just watched them. Then Calum turned his attention to me. "So you're new here?" "Yep." I answered.

Then the bell rang and Michael muttered a "shit" through his gritted teeth and grabbed our arms, dragging us to the room where our lesson should be starting right now.

We opened the door panting and realized that everyone already sat on their chairs and the teacher slowly turned his head to us. Michael slowly tried to just walk to his chair but the teacher shouted: "MICHAEL CLIFFORD!" Michael backed his head in. "Yes, Mr. Hecker?"

The teacher wasn't speachless at all at Michaels response. I think he's used to Michael coming late to class.

"Any excuses?"

"Uhm.." suddenly his eyes blinked.

"Yes! I had to help Ashton with his schedule!"

"Ashton?" Mr.Hecker asked confused and looked at Calum and then at me.

"Ah! So you're the new kid."

"Yes, mister. I'm sorry that I'm late on my first day."

"Oh no problem!" his face lit up.

"Thanks, that's nice of you."

Michael grinned at me mischiviously.

Somebody coughed and said "crawler."

I looked at the direction where it came from. And I froze. I don't know what's gotten in to me.. I just kept staring at the guy who said this one word.

"What?" he snapped at me.

I tore myself out of my trance and just glared at him and then looked back at the teacher. "Sit down you three." Mr.Hecker demanded. "Ashton you can sit next to Luke. Luke raise your hand!"

Slowly and bored, a guy rose his hand.

And this guy was none other than the one who snapped at me.

Great. This will be one great year.

Note the sarcasm.

But somehow I was lucky to be able to sit next to him. I really don't know what's gotten into me lately. Hmpf. Maybe it's this new town.

I slowly walked up to Luke's table and sat next to him while the teacher continued his lesson.

He just ignored me.

I noticed he had many tattoes covering his arms. One of them said: "Hurt everybody else before they hurt you."

As Luke noticed that I was staring at his tattoes he kicked my leg under the table so that I shrieked quietly and he just snorted. Once in a while he would bite his lip ring and roll his ice blue eyes, or stroke through his blonde hair, which was styled up in a quiff.

His clothes were black, just like Michael's.

After a while I realized that he was acting all bored and uninterested, but really was listening to what the teacher said and paid attention.

I didn't understand a word Mr. Hecker said. Maths is my worst subject.

I was glad when the lesson finished.

I packed my things back in my backpack ( see what I did there ) and saw Michael and Calum coming my way. They asked if I had lunch in the same lesson as them and as I said "yes" they asked if I wanted to sit at their table which I also answered with "yes, sure". And then they actually greeted Luke. And it seemed like they were best friends. Oh no. "I'm sorry about what I said when you came in."

Whoa great he apologi- wait. What?!

I stared at him in disbelief.

"You kicked me!"

"Yeah I didn't know we're going to hang out much in the future." he smirked.

"Are we?" I asked.

"Yeah, since you're friends with Michael and Calum I think so."

"Okay.." I tried to smile. I swear.

"Somebody's lucky!" He patted my back. "Hear the ironic outta that. Look I'm really sorry mate."

I remembered the one tattoe on his arm and suddenly smiled a real smile. I think he just avoids everybody who he will never hang out much to lower the risks of having fake friends and getting hurt.

He smiled back.

Wow his smile is really great.

Like great great.

Look at those eyes and those dimples and- omg what am I thinking?!

Then I realized that Michael just asked me something and I just weirdly stared at Luke and didn't hear it.

"Sorry, what?" I asked blushing.

"I just asked what you have next, since we have only 1 more minute left getting to class and you will be late again."

Michael repeated laughing.

"Uhm.. music!" I smiled, because I really like music.

"Great, I have that too." Calum exclaimed and tugged me on my arm.

Michael looked a bit jealous. "Man, I have physics." Luke nodded, signaling he had physics too, so I ran with Calum to the music room where our lesson would be.

The lesson was great, we had a great teacher and our exercise was just talking about instruments we play and music we like. I found out that Calum plays base, so I told him that I play the drums. I also found out that Michael and Luke play the e-guitar.

The remaining lessons till lunch went by fast and I really enjoyed them, even though some were not exactly my favorites.
